US Immigration from Vietnam

We have interview in 5 days. Had medical and indicated we have applied for Religious Exemption. The Examiner is clueless on how to complete the I-693 form for the waiver. He said he will send to Embassy via email after discussing with them. He said it was the first time he has confronted a waiver. I said I understand but it is his responsibility. He try to save face. BS

I'm helping my wife prepare for the interview using this link.

In one section it says:

Accompanying persons

The following persons may accompany a visa applicant to their interview:

Applicants may bring ONE interpreter if they do not speak English or Vietnamese well enough to participate inan interview.

Applicants may bring ONE person to help if they are elderly, disabled, or a minor child.

It doesn't say that applicants can bring their petitioning spouse.

I've always imagined that petitioners can attend the interview (and that helps the case), but with covid, are they still allowing this or not?

I tried to search for an answer on google but was in no luck so I really hope someone can help.

Our case is F2B, my brother finished submitting his civil documents and DS260 in Dec 2021. 2 weeks ago, we received an email from the NVC saying the status was updated and we should log in to our CEAC. However, we did not see any new messages or requests to resubmit any documents/ payment.

I have tried to log in a couple times after that but still no update. Has anyone run into the same situation? Is this normal or should I contact the NVC?

Has anyone postponed their interview until a later date? If so how much longer did they allow the postponment...3 months..6 months.

Just got an email from the NVC, we have an interview scheduled in 2 weeks in HCMC, Vietnam.

We need to schedule a medical as soon as possible, and my wife hasn t had her flu shot yet. Do we have enough time to do all this and be ready for the interview?
