Son Received 10-Year Green Card 6 Months After U.S. Passport |

My wife and her son were permanent residents, but when my wife became a U.S. citizen, her son acquired citizenship through her and received his U.S. passport 6 months ago. Last week, his long-overdue 10-year green card arrived. I called USCIS today to ask what we do with the card and the representative only scheduled me for a "non-urgent" return email or call in 30 days. She added that I may have to call back and submit a new 30-day request when the deadline passes. I found a couple very old posts saying that USCIS "should be dead to us" now that my wife and her son are citizens. Since USCIS was very strict about having the cards returned at the citizenship swearing in ceremony, do we need to return this to someone or simply throw it out? Thanks - Jason

Working on the I-942 for my wife's N400 and have a few questions. I own a small business, in case that is important. -
The instructions say to put in the number from line 37 of the 1040 form which they say is the adjusted gross income, but that is not the line for the adjusted gross income on the 2022 1040 the tax preparer used. The adjusted gross income is on line 11. Do I just put on the number from line 11 (which is listed on the form as the adjusted gross income)? Or the number from line 37 (which is the amount owed in taxes)? -
For the tax forms to send, should I just send the entire packet (1040, schedules 1, 2, 3, C, S, SE, Education Credits, 8995 Business Deductions, 8867, 8962, 4562, 8879, etc.) or just the 1040, or some subset of that tax paperwork? -
Should I send a check with the I-942 and N-400 (the instructions do not say to send the check, or to not send the check, so it is unclear to me)?

Name order appears correct on Green Card and Work Permit but not SS Card |

When my wife came to the US via K1-Visa, we got married and got her a social security card. She is from Vietnam, so the name was copied in the same order that was shown on her passport which is (Middle, First, Last). However when she received her work permit card and green card, her name shows the correct order (First, Middle, Last). Will this change or affect anything in the future and we are wondering if we should get it the order of her name to show correctly for her SS card and Marriage Ceritifcate. Is it worth the trouble to even get it corrected. We don't want to waste our time getting it fixed if it's not going to be a problem in the long run.

After 22 months since filing the I130 petition to bring my stepson (under 18) to the US from Vietnam, I got an RFE from USCIS. My spouse was awarded her visa CR1 in 2021 and we moved to the US in Dec 2021 (already filed for Change of Status). We are both living in US since 221 with our biological son (Born in Vietnam but holds a US passport via CRBA). First of all, it is a bit odd that the RFE requests proof of Bona Fide Marital Status (essentially asking fo all the proof we submitted for my spouse to get her visa such as potos, correspondances joint account, leases etc.). On the I130 (for stepson) I submitted our marriage certificate with translation. They also requested Proof of Legal Termination of Marrige (again all was submitted in order for my spouse to get her visa). Again redundant resubmitting. Question 1: Isthis a normal to re-request all this iformation? Question 2: Can someone please explain this statement (page 1 of the RFE) IMPORTANT: THIS NOTICE CONTAINS YOUR UNIQUE NUMBER. THE ORIGINAL NOTICE MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH THE REQUESTED EVIDENCE. You are receiving this notice because U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) requires additional evidence to process your form. Please provide the evidence requested below. Include duplicate copies if you are requesting consular notification. In particular, is the ORIGINAL NOTICE the RFE and does that have to be submitted with the responses? Also, since my stepson resides in Vietnam do I need to send duplicate copies for consular notification? Question 3: Page 5 of the RFE states COVERSHEET SCANNING REQUIRED PLEASE RETURN THE REQUESTED INFORMATION AND ALL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS WITH THIS PAGE ON TOP TO: USCIS/TSC ATTN: RFE/NOID/NOIR/NOIT 6046 N BELT LINE RD STE 108 IRVING, TX 75038-001. Silly question, but I can submit all the required documents online. Do I still need to mail to this address. If not, which method is preferred, online or mail? Thanks in advance.

My wife who came here on a K1-Visa, and I are attending our interview soon and would like too know what sort of questions can we expect them to ask us. I'm really nervous and pray that we won't run into any difficulties that may delay her getting her greencard.
