I know everything will be backed up due to the Pandemic. But I am in a unique situation I think. I have already gotten my NOA2 notice and it has a date of mId August to finish the interview process for my K-1 Fiancee Visa. But she is here in the USA stuck right now and cannot fly back home on a valid B1/B2 Tourist Visa which is also good until Mid August. My concern is since Venezuela interviews are in Bogota now and she can't get to Venezuela (her home) or to Bogota (for interview), at what point do I start trying to get an extension on her B1/B2 Visa? and at what point do I get an extension of the K-1 date? Any advice appreciated.

Hello everyone, First post here Getting ready to file our AOS thru marriage paperwork (hopefully by 4/1). My husband's status is "Pending Asylum Interview." He already has EAD, we are not applying for AP. Anyone have a similar background? If so, did you file having to submit I-944?

I'm clueless about what the best option would be at this point because our plans were just to wait for the whole k-1 process to go through, so I never looked into anything else. My fiance just happened to be out here when the proverbial excrement hit the fan. About a week into his trip they declared this a pandemic, and then Wednesday he was supposed to fly back to Mexico, but we were hit with an earthquake and the airport was shut down and evacuated. So he's staying for now, I guess (honestly I'm so grateful to have him here with us during all of this). I don't even know if it would be an option for him to fly home as of today with everything going on with the US/Mexico border. He is a Venezuelan national with refugee status in Mexico, so who knows how that could fall through the cracks in a situation like this? His work is shutting down in Mexico for a few weeks anyway which buys us some time to figure this out. Technically he has six months on his tourist visa, so it's not like we'd be facing him overstaying for a while, but all of the uncertainty has me thinking why not get married? Is that even possible? Can you apply to adjust status from a tourist visa? I know I've heard that it's illegal to come here on a tourist visa with the intention of getting married, but that definitely wasn't the intention. This situation is scary and I want to marry him NOW. Haha! I don't even know if any of these questions are even worth asking. There are just so many unknown factors going on with all of this. But if anyone has any advice for us, I'd love to hear it.

Hey guys, A friend is here on a b2 visa and she s afraid she won t be able to go back to the EU because of the current ban or that she will accrue unlawful presence days in the US. She s aware of the I-539 but knowing how USCIS works, I wonder if it will give her enough time to be processed. She has authorized stay until early May. Please advise. I trust this community a lot because I know you know your stuff. thank you so much and stay safe!

When I filed the petition my fiancee was living in Venezuela. Since the Venezuelan embassy was closed, I did not put the Venezuelan embassy on her petition. I put Ecuador because my fiancee had planned to move there. However, as far as I know, Venezuelan applicants are assigned to Bogota embassy by default so I don't know what will happen. The petition was approved last week and now I'm wondering if I should contact the NVC to update the beneficiary's address since she just moved to Ecuador and what is the best way to do that?
