Resubmitting after rejection

Hi there,

My husband s AOS was rejected due to checking the box for Spouse of USC versus Entered as a fiance of USC . As such they were asking for proof of I130 instead of the I129F.

i know we have to correct that page and obviously update the signature page. The lime green page will have to be the first page of the packet to advise them of the resubmission.

Question is - do we need to reprint a brand new I-485 or can we just swap the pages out?

Additionally- the package came back to us in the most indiscernible order, and it is all stapled together in small chunks. I ve seen some people say to just update what needs updating and send it back in the order it is in - and others saying to order it like a brand new filing.

I wasn t sure if there was a right or wrong way to do it. I do have additional joint bills/statements we can add so wasn t sure if reorganization was the best route.

I sent off my I-751 packet and then moved. Already changed my address on USCIS website. Will my old address being on the papers override it?

I sent off my I-751 packet and then moved. Already changed my address on USCIS website. Will my old address being on the papers override it?

Feb 5 - Mailed papers (with old address)

Feb 7 - Moved

Feb 10 - Updated address with USCIS

Feb 11 - Packet arrived (per USPS tracking)

Is there a procedure for this? I'm thinking they won't process my papers for a while but when they do will they revert back to my old address or honor the new one I updated on the site?

Advice needed on providing evidence for 7 year long-distance relationship

Hi, my fianc e [27F from the US] and I [28F from the UK] have been together in a long distance relationship since the beginning of 2018. Due to her being in university until 2020, and then the pandemic where she was living at home, it wasn't appropriate to begin a K1 visa until more recently.

I proposed to her in the summer of 2024 and we are currently working on our initial I-129F petition/K1 visa packet. I have seen many people include evidence of every time they have met each other in person, photos and plane tickets etc. However, we have met in-person a total of 14 times over 7 years, and 5 times in the last 2 years.

I'm very confused over how much evidence of meeting we need to include. I considered only including evidence of the last 2 years, but is this enough to tell the story of/prove our bona fide relationship? A lot of big events happened before the last two years like expensive trips together, meeting each other's families etc.

I'd really appreciate advice on how to narrow this down or help with what we should absolutely keep -- whether we should give a list of every meeting perhaps even if we don't include evidence for all of them, or is that pointless? Right now we've got photos from every meeting, receipts from a few big events, and our plane tickets from the two last times we visited each other, but it's feeling like absolute overkill with far too many pages. I'm just worried about taking out something we need.

We are also both women and in a lesbian relationship so we feel a bit more anxious about 'proving' our relationship is real and not just gals being pals.

If anyone has been in a similar situation with a long-term relationship finally applying for a K1 visa, I'd really appreciate the insight. Thank you!

So, we have been married for 10 years. I am a British citizen. My wife is an American citizen. But, we chose to live in the UK for 5 yrs. When we moved here, 3 yrs ago I got unconditional 10 yr GC from the get-go. No criminal history, no children, and we both have executive-level jobs. I work for a police department (not a cop).

Is there any possibility that our biometrics will be waived OR the interview will be waived?

Many thanks.

Hello

I am a US permanent resident, and my girlfriend recently moved to the US on an F1 visa to study English as a second language. We had initially met in the US, but we have been in a long distance relationship for almost 2 years since then.

I proposed to her yesterday. Our base-case is getting married next year, but seriously considering getting married sooner so we can apply for AOS.

I keep reading that it is better to wait 90 days since her last entry. However if we wait too long, there is a risk her F1 would expire before we could file for AOS. In which case we d rather plan the wedding for next year (and accept we d be separated for a while).

Would F1 to study English as a second language + filing AOS within 90 days of entering the US raise all kind of red flags?

Maybe we are just being paranoid about it
