My husband was LPA on F2A category when he applied for my GC and I received GC of 10 years. I have already completed almost 5years and have applied for my N400. My application is in processing. But, now I realise, was it a mistake that I was given a 10year GC instead of 2year? Did anyone has same case around would like to know and was there any issues..

Hello everyone, We are getting ready for the interview. I have 2 questions and need some help. Also my apologies if these questions have already been asked and answered before. 1) We recently had a baby. The original birth certificate was sent away as part of the passport application. Is a child s original birth certificate required or will a photocopy be accepted? 2) Does the i864 form for a joint sponsor need to be filled out again and uploaded before the interview? thank you!

Hello members, I received an automated email from the embassy prior to our immigration interview in a few days stating that my police clearance certificates have expired among other document required. I currently live in the UAE and have previously lived in India and Bahrain. The immigration website also mentions that a new police certificate is required if all of the following conditions are met: 1. I am more than 16 years old; 2. The police certificate was obtained more than two years ago; 3. I still live in the country that issued the certificate. Since I currently reside in the UAE, I can provide a new police certificate from here. However, do I also need to obtain new certificates from India and Bahrain, even though I no longer live in those countries and have only visited and stayed briefly ( less than a month) after obtaining my original certificates? How would this impact my visa process timeline if new certificates are required?

Hi every one I got my permanent residence card (green card) in 2012 and got married in my country in 2013. Due to the fact that I was not be in the US for six months every year for the next 10 years, I could not apply for citizenship, so I renewed my green card in 2022. It is worth to mention that once in 2015, I applied for a marriage visa (i-130) for my wife and stepdaughter but I could not be in US for that period of time, so although the marriage visa application was approved, it was invalidated over time. Now that after 12 years I want to apply for a marriage visa for my wife and stepdaughter to live with me in the US, but I found out that one of the conditions for applying for a marriage visa is that "spouses must not be outside the US for more than 2 years but I have been outside the US for more than two years, so I cannot apply for an alien marriage visa. If I understood correctly, please guide me how to bring my wife and adopted daughter to US?

Hi guys, I need help on this one. I went for my Naturalization interview, passed it but they can't decide on my application yet because they need our Lease copy. When we applied for our apartment, my name was on the application but for whatever reason, they didn't add my name on the lease and very renewal time we always ask for them to add my name but they never did. I can't fault them also since it was our responsibility to refuse to sign the lease since my name was not on it but we did sign anyway. And now we spoke to our landlord but they can't amend our lease in the middle of the contract and add my name though they can provide something in writing that will somehow support our claim that I've been a tenant since day 1. Would that be enough even thought USCIS asked for the our Lease copy? Is there someone who had the same scenario with me that can help pls? I appreciate your responses in advance. Thanks!
