My NVC expedite for I129-F has been accepted by the US embassy in Frankfurt and I wanted to communicate with the consular officer to request to allow my fiance and her kids to get the required medical tests done in Warsaw, Poland. In connection to that I have emailed to IRCFrankfurt@state.gov (For Public Affairs) but there is no response whatsoever and it has been 3 days now. Does anyone know what would be the right email address to reach the visa section directly? Secondly, do we need to fill the DS-160 form before the US embassy in Frankfurt contacts us to schedule the interview or have to wait for the direction from the US embassy in Frankfurt? Only people who have gone through the process answer as I want to keep the guess work out. Thanks!

My Ukrainian wife and step-daughter are currently in western Ukraine. Her mother and brother's family are planning to make the trip to Mexico, and enter the USA via humanitarian parole. As I understand, that gives them 1 year to live here and then they will have to leave or pursue an extension or some other avenue. I suspect the HP period will probably be extended. My question is can my wife and step-daughter travel with them? Does the pending I-30 have any effect on entering via HP? Does entering on HP jeopardize the Immigrant Visa? Our paperwork was submitted to the NVC last week so we are in the final stages of the process. Also, I assume if my wife and daughter did do this, they would just fly to Frankfurt for the medical and interview? Has anyone in our situation done this? Is there any value to me travelling to Tijuana to accompany them? David Roberts - US citizen

A Ukrainian friend wrote to me last night. She entered the USA on her tourist Visa after March 1st which is the NLT date of the blanket amnesty. She would like to work. She is a talented dance performer and teacher who has performed around the world. Acquaintances have already offered her jobs. Normally I would suggest that she apply for parole with the USCIS. Some acquaintances told her that requesting parole to work is a terrible idea. I'm confused about this. Almost everyone doing an AOS requests parole - right? Any suggestions for my friend would be greatly appreciated.

Hi! I would like to get some advice on our specific case. So, my husband, a US citizen, wants to file 2021 taxes. Him and I (K-1 beneficiary) have been married since May 2021. I still haven't received neither EAD card nor GC card which means that I also don't have a SS card with my new last name. However, I have an SS card with my maiden name on it (received in the past while being on a student visa). So, obviously, my husband will have to file taxes as a married man, but what about me? Do I have to file taxes? (I haven't worked all this time and had no income). If yes, then can we file jointly? Thank you for your help in advance.
