US Immigration from Turkey

Hi Everyone,

Our I-130 was received at the Nebraska Center on Oct. 28, 2019. After much reading here, I can see it'll likely take approximately a year for it to get approved. We will go ahead and mail the I-129F this week and hope that will help in the slightest. We live in Japan, and my work contract ends in mid-Sept. 2020, and was really hoping both my husband and I could move to the US straight from Japan, right after my work contract. He currently has a 10-year US tourist visa that was issued May 2018 and he's visited there twice with it. Now seeing it's highly unlikely he'll have his visa by Sept. 2020, if I move to the US solo (I'm a US citizen) can he still visit me with his tourist visa and while the spouse CR1 visa is pending? If so, how long can he stay without it becoming an issue? And I assume he'd have to have his interview in his home country of Turkey then, since we'll no longer be in Japan after Sept. 2020. Ugh, such exhausting and overly complicated bureaucracy. Thank you for your input.

I received a generic letter for AOS about RFE for birth certificate. I already submitted the original birth certificate (vukuatli nufus kayit ornegi from Turkey) along with English translation from rev.com. I'm not sure how to respond this RFE. Should I re-translate the certificate and send the same documents again? I'm lost

the drama continues. Anyone have this happen?

They finally texted us and cashed our check....a full 30 days after they received it....for our i-485. Wonderful holiday gift, right?

not so fast....yestarday in the mail they sent us back our application for i-765 because the last 3 pages were left out (the ones about did you use a lawyer, did you use an interpreter, blah blah blah) which were irrelevent and would have been left blank anyway. Ok fair but not fair, I get it, story of my life.

But there was also another paragraph stating "improper or missing filing fee" (removed) they cashed our check plus its all included in the low price of $1225! Called USCIS and pretty much they were no help so today a level too will call me back in ... wait for it ... 512 minutes. Yes folks you heard correct 512 minutes. Which I doubt anyone will be there it being NYE..

I know this is a simple fix but its soooo frustrating especially since we already waited 30 days for the i-485 package to be accepted! Anyone else have this happen and if so how was it handled?

I am planning to file for AOS and can't find the copy of NOA2. My Wife gave the NOA2 original to immigration officers -it was in the bunch of docs and files - and they did not return the docs back to her during entry. and I thought I had the copies in my files (e-drive) but I don't have it. How can I retrieve the NOA2 ?

I have K1-FTP approval notice from NVC saying: The National Visa Center (NVC) received your fianc (e) s/spouse s approved I-129F petition from U.S.
Citizenship and Immigration Services. Would this help any to substitute NOA2?

We filed Nov.30 they received it Dec.2 (priority mail signiture receipt) but as of today they have not cashed our check let alone sent the NO1.

Married Oct.19, K-1 visa says good til Dec.18 (yikes! 2 more days!)

Scared this will be a problem, even tho we married within the timeframe as well as filed AOS within timeframe.
