US Immigration from Turkey

Hi everyone,

My fianc and I are going through the K-1 visa process, and our case was sent to the Department of State on December 27, 2024. It has now been 51 days, and our case is still at NVC. We received our case number via public inquiry on February 3, 2025 but we haven t received the official NVC email, and CEAC still shows "At NVC."

I know K-1 cases are usually transferred within 2 4 weeks, but I ve seen others with later case dates, also going to the same embassy in Ankara, Turkey, already receive their NVC emails while ours remains stuck.

Has anyone else, especially those with cases going to Ankara, Turkey, experienced similar delays? Does NVC send cases out of order? If your case was delayed, what helped move it forward?

I contacted NVC via the public inquiry form last week, but I haven t received any updates yet. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Hello I got confused a bit. so my fiancee lives in the same house with her parents and her father will be sponsoring us

My fiancee and her father work but her mother does not so Should my fiancee and her father both fill out separate i134 forms? and how should they answer questions 14 and 15 on Form i134?

Should her father add her mother as a dependent even if she does not have an income and should he add my fiancee as a dependent on his form even she does have an income but not enough for to be the only sponsor?

My interview will be in Ankara and we want to add a joint sponsor at the consulate stage in K1 so what kind of documents does the joint sponsor need to provide for this, in addition to my fianc e?

If there is someone who knows the subject and can share all the necessary documents for this, I would be glad

My fianc (Turkish) and I (American) are trying to figure which option is best for us to be together as soon as possible. We have the opportunity to marry in June (in Turkey) or file the K1 by early April. What is the quickest way for her to come to America?

I assume the answer is no, but just wanted to check. Worksource Oregon provides scholarship for some job trainings but then I'd be getting a state/federally funded scholarship which I feel like violates the rules of my status as a K1 holder waiting for work permit. Anyone have any knowledge on this?
