Hi, I am a US citizen and I filed I130 for my parents in July 1st, 2022. The "Estimated time until case decision" gone from 4 weeks left to, 3 weeks, 2 weeks, 1 week and now saying "Your case is taking longer than expected to process. You do not need to take any action at this time.". It has been saying this for 3 weeks now.

Hi everyone, We applied for a K1 visa and got NOA1 on 1/03/22. We put down the embassy location as Warsaw, Poland based on guidance for Russian applicants. With all the recent issues of Russians trying to enter Europe, we wanted to explore a different option. We both are residents of Turkey and we wanted to see if we can transfer our case to either the Istanbul or Ankara location. Our reasoning is that we are both residents and it would save us time and money (having to fly back to Russia, get a Schengen visa, go to a European country, and then go to Poland - where there is a lot of scrutiny to Russian passport holders.) My question is do I reach out the Turkish (Istanbul/Ankara) locations now or after NOA2 approval? I've heard conflicting information from many sources so I wanted to get someones input from here. Notes: - I'm a US Citizen, my fiancee is Russian
- We both have been living together in Turkey since 2021 as Residents and we both hold valid resident permits
- We got NOA1 for our K1 visa application and listed Warsaw, Poland as our Embassy Location

Hi there, Our interview is estimated to be in Q1 of 2023 and we wanted to get ahead by preparing all of our paperwork. My fiancee is visiting Russia right now and I wanted to ask if the Police Record/Report has to have an Apostille Certification? Or can it just be a regular Russian document?? We live in Turkey (that police record process is more straightforward as they only have one type of Notary/Apostille service). Thanks in advance

I had a baby girl in Ukraine on December 28, 2021. Two months after her birth, war broke out and we were forced to move to Ankara, Turkey. My daughter only had a Ukrainian birth certificate when we left Ukraine, so we applied for a new US passport for her in Ankara. We were told that they would need to submit all of her documents to Poland, as she is a Ukrainian-born baby. So we submitted all of the necessary documents on September 1st. They then asked for my W2 forms, which I provided later. I have sent 5 emails to the US Consulate in Ankara and I have not received a response to any of my emails. My question is, is there a way to check/track/follow up on the status of her application? FYI, I am a US citizen since 2009.

Securing Housing Before Spouse Receives IR-1 Visa |

Hello everyone, I am new to this community, so I hope this is the right place to post this question. I am a USC petitioning to bring over my husband, who is from Turkey. I have been living with him in Turkey since this summer, when my previous rental agreement ended and I was free to move. Prior to that I was going back for short visits periodically since I work remotely and was able to do so. However, I am expecting our I-130 petition to be approved by the end of the year, so I am starting to think about coming back to the US early next year once it is approved so I can find us housing. My question is, does anyone have experience with getting their spouse onto a lease before they come to the US? I am worried that it will be difficult to rent a place with his name on the lease before he comes to the US since he won't have a SSN, visa, etc at the point. However, I need to find us housing before he comes. Staying with my family once he arrives in the US while we find a place isn't an option, since they live in AZ, and I need to return to OR to finish my graduate studies. I'd really love to be able to find us housing in Oregon (where we will be living) before he comes here, so we don't have to live in a hotel while searching for places. In my experience, landlords in the town I live in won't rent out a place to you unless you are able to view it in person, which is why it will be hard to find a place while I'm still in Turkey or if we are staying with my family. Any advice from others who have tried securing housing before their spouse has arrived would be greatly appreciated!
