Good morning all,

has anyone posted the common questions being asked? I know the standard is 6 out of 10 and there s 100 possible questions they pull from. Curious if they seem to use the same ones or not?

Hello VJ friends! I started my journey on here as a K-1 visa applicant in 2017. Fast forward 2024, I am now a US citizen! Thank y'all for your help. I am writing to ask about the IR2 visa category (child/children of US citizen). My son's IR2 was approved recently and I couldn't be happier. My only concern is how long does it take for the green card to be sent to our US address once he enters the US. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello,

Since my wife is US citizen now the last step is to take her to SSA and update her status. I remember there was a talk somewhere here about doing some form to reflect her status at SS. Which form is that?

Second thing, her SS card still says Not permitted to work without DHS authorization. How do we change her physical card? Is there another form for it?

Thanks!

Is there a specific time that the embassies release dates to the NVC for interviews? I got an email form NVC saying they do these a month at a time on a first in first out basis. What exactly does the month at a time mean?

Filed the I-129F back in August of 2022. Finally received notice that it was approved in March of 2024. I thought they were sending instructions to my fianc on next step, but he never received anything.

I have a trip planned for July to assist with gathering all the paperwork and getting to Bangkok for the interview. But just noticed on the petition it says "valid for 4 months and expires 6-8-2024".

There is a brief note on the website that the expiration can be extended by consular officer, but no information on how to request. Anyone have insights on how to get this extended?

Frustrating to wait sooo long for first approval, and then be expected to get everything done in 4 months. My schedule doesn't always allow for travel like that. Ugh.

Thanks.
