US Immigration from Taiwan

Hi everyone,

Few tricky questions that my attorney couldn't provide solid answers. I would like to know if anyone had similar experience, and willing to share with me. Do my H1-B status change to green card right away after the interview per say no issues during the interview? If not, does that mean H-4 can still travel on H-4 visa before H1-B receives the actual green card? My husband is on H-4, and I-485, I-765, and I-131 were filed early November. He now lives in his home country, and travels back and forth to the US whenever he has a vacation. So long story short, my I-485 interview is scheduled in late February, and we are trying to figure out if there is a way for him to be able to travel internationally until June other than rescheduling the interview. We are still waiting for his I-131 to be approved or denied since he traveled overseas when I-131 is pending. Anyone's I-131 was denied due to overseas traveling, or anyone's I-131 was approved even you traveled overseas when I-131 is pending?

we got married 21th Dec, and i went and file for SSN thought i should get it before filing for AOS

Called the office today to track it, and was told that somehow this is the slowest time of year, so it might take up to 3 months to issue one

i apply the SSN with my maiden name because the office would not take my temporary marriage certificate for the name change. so i would have to go back again for name change later when i get the SSN.

my question is, can i then file for my AOS without SSN? or i have to wait till i have the SSN before making any further application for anything...

The issue only appears in Chrome for me. I am using a laptop with Windows 10 Pro. The home page format is too wide for my browser. Browser setting is 100%. However, the issue does not appear when I use Firefox.......and the issue is not present on other pages within VJ. Only the home page.

Just a quick note: I often see posters asking about traveling during the ROC process. My wife traveled to Taiwan in mid November with her expired conditional Green card and extension letter. Last night, she boarded a Japan Airlines flight back to the US from Taipei via Narita (Tokyo). She said the JAL employees were very thorough and they were fully aware that the letter extended her Green Card by 18 months.

So I already got packet 3 and filed my DS160 and paid the fee, just waiting for availability date to do the interview.

Unfortunately I found out that I typed wrong name for my mother s name for the form I129F and DS160 (Chinese name translation, I typed D but it should be T)

I ve been searching on VJ and found that people said just correct it at the interview stage. Is that ok for my case? If so, that means I have to file another DS160 and correct the number on my account?

or any other advice?
