I-864 form question |

I'm in the process of bringing my in-laws over and while I was filling out the I-864, I've run into some weird wording in one of the doc. I am currently filling out separate application for both of my in-laws and on the I-864 part 3 question two it asks if I'm also sponsoring someone else other than the principle immigrant. Should I list both of them on this form (since they ask not to include the other immigrant if filing a separate application) or leave this part blank and file a separate I-864?

Hi all, my wife went to her interview yesterday and it went very good. We were asked very few questions because the officer told us we had more than enough files we presented to them. He then told us my wife's visa was approved and to expect the visa in a few days. When I check the application status of the visa on CEAC it says 'administrative processing', does this basically mean they are preparing to issue the visa, or what does that entail? When I saw other people posting they all said they saw 'card being produced' and things like that. Anyway, thanks.

DS-5540 Asset question |

I am preparing for my interview coming up soon, and I was not asked to submit a DS-5540 before. However, today, I found it on the NVC website stating that it needs to be filled out, and multiple people saying it's best to fill it out before the interview in case they ask for it. I had no idea this was a thing that needed to be filled out, and wouldn't have found out until the interview had I not been triple checking everything. I have a couple questions: Can I list my bank account (spouse of the intending immigrant) under her assets? We are married, so these should be considered shared, right? It's not a joint bank account, as this country does not offer joint bank accounts. My wife is a homemaker and I earn all the income (we both live abroad). Do we need proof for our statements? It never asks for proof, and in the instruction form for the DS-5440, it never refers to any documentation needing to substantiate what is written in the form. For instance, my wife graduated from high school and college. We can only really find her college degree. Do we even need to provide it? Is there a general asset 'amount' needed? We have a very strong joint sponsor that makes over 200K USD per year, I wouldn't think this would be an issue. And I also bought very good US health insurance for my wife at the beginning of 2020. Thank you for your help!

Hi there, I'm a US Citizen living abroad temporarily with my wife for a period of less than three years total. I moved here at the start of our relationship, and we ended up getting married. We've gone through the majority of the CR1 process so far, and we have our interview very soon. I only have one question, regarding proof of domicile. When I submitted our documents, I forgot to submit proof of domicile, so they appended a note stating I need to bring proof to our interview. Thankfully, it didn't delay the process, I just have to show it to the consular officer. I made a letter stating all of the proof I have and am appending the relevant documents to it. I'd like to see if you think this is sufficient, or if I need to do anything more. I have done basically everything short of submitting resignation to my job here (I want to wait until we actually receive my wife's CR1 visa due to any possible delays). I wrote pretty much everything I could think of, if I missed anything obvious I might be able to use that could also help me out. My letter is below, thank you for your advice! Steps I have taken to maintain US Domicile: -
Maintained my bank account in the United States -
I am temporarily working abroad for a US corporation, (Large US tech firm name), which is engaged in foreign trade and commercial development with the United States -
Maintained a US-based credit card -
Maintained health insurance coverage in the United States -
Maintained membership in AAA -
Have visited my family twice in the United States twice since I arrived in (country name) for temporary work in order to celebrate holidays Supporting Documents for the above steps I have taken: -
Bank statement showing US address -
Verification of employment letter from company -
Photocopy of my work visa showing date of expiry as (date within 3 months) -
Credit card statement showing a US billing address -
Health insurance billing statement sent to my address -
Photocopy of AAA membership card valid until 2021 -
Tickets from my previous visits to family in the United States Steps I have taken to return to the US to take up residence: -
Have bought joint health insurance for my wife and I -
Have made arrangements with my parents to live with them in (state) -
Have been shipping our possessions to our address in (state) -
Have bought one-way plane tickets for my wife and I to fly together to the United States on (date before my work visa expiry) -
Have bought an in-cabin spot for our cat on our flight so he may be taken onboard our flight -
Have rented a vehicle in (airport destination city) on (Date), 2020, in order to drive to (destination address) -
Have rented a hotel room for the night of (Date), 2020 in (city) since we will have a two day trip Supporting documents for the above steps I have taken: -
Health insurance bill detailing my name and wife s name on our joint health insurance coverage -
Letter from my parents confirming our plans to live in the United States at their address -
Receipt and mail forms from our shipped belongings -
Plane ticket receipts from (airline) detailing our date of departure and arrival to the United States -
In-Cabin pet receipt from (airline) so that we may take our cat to the United States -
Car rental receipt for (Date), 2020 in (airport destination city) -
Hotel room receipt for (Date), 2020 in (city)

HI All, it will be great if you can share your thoughts on my case. I am a permanent resident and filed I-130 for my kids (under 21 dependents) in end of 2017, and submitted I-485 after the priority date become current (end of 2018). Both of my kids are in the United States with F2 visa since 2018 (F1 dependent, my spouse is F1 visa). I-130 file in Nov 2017 I-485 file in Dec 2018 I-797 approval notice on I-130 in Feb 2020 Our I -130 recently got approved and then moved to NVC according to I-797 notice. I have also complete all the DS 260 and submitted supporting (financial and civil) documents on the CEAC website per NVC insutctions. my questions are: 1. does President Trump's executive order affect my kids' green card application? 2. since we are residing in USA, why can my kids adjust the status within United States? why does USCIS send the approved petition to NVC? 3. when I log in our CEAC case page, our interview location (on the upper right corner with all the case number and ) shows the overseas embassy in our home country, is this a mistake of NVC or USCIS? Thank you very much.
