Hi everyone,

I passed my n400 interview today. However the officer checked the decision cannot be made yet because of my pending I-751. They don t have my I-751. My case was transferred to NBC in 2021. In the beginning he went over a list of things I submitted to my I-751. My husband was waiting outside but wasn t needed for the interview.
At the end, the officer told me they (whoever has my case) have to approve my I-751 before they can schedule me an oath ceremony. He doesn t know how long it s going to take. Does anyone have similar experience to share?

I filed my I-751 back in July, 2021.
I filed my n400 September, 2022. (3 year rule)

Options for travel when green card extension expired

hello all,

I am a US citizen and my wife and I are currently waiting for her I-751. We filed on November 2020 and at this point it still seems nowhere near complete.

We need to travel out of the country sometime this year, ideally April but can be pushed to June, but we are stuck in a spot where she has no means to travel. Her green card expired on January 2021 and we've been waiting so long that our 24 month extension letter has also expired.

After some brief research I've found two possible options for us, the travel stamp and a supposed 48 month extension letter that is incoming. The problem is I'm not sure when I can obtain either of these. When I called for a stamp appointment, they told me that a USCIS officer would call me within 30 days to follow up. Considering we've been waiting over 2 years for her I-751 I'm not confident in their ability to follow up within 30 days, and after the follow up call I'm assuming there are more steps that take time.

Are there any other options or something I could do to expedite these processes? Or does anyone know how long these things take? Originally we were with the potomac center but were transferred in November 2022 to the benefits center. As mentioned, ideally we want to get something resolved by April, but we can push to June in a worst case scenario.

Thank you in advance!

Here are some interesting statistics. Seems N-400s, compared to I-751s, are being processed at astounding numbers:

For the 4th Qtr of FY 2022

I-751s Received During the Qtr: 40,081

I-751s Processed During the Qtr: 24,011

I-751s Still pending: 270,925

----------

N-400s Received During the Qtr: 194,819

N-400s Processed During the Qtr: 323,793

N-400s Still Pending: 543,838

There were roughly 10% of the N-400s denied.

Wife moved from one country outside of the US to her home country. She is NOT in the US. I-130 is still pending. Do we need to report change of address to USCIS?

Are the documents in the document tab missing?

Hello,

So I finally got back into my USCIS account having changing phone numbers a while back, and when I clicked around in my account, I notice that in the documents tab it looks like the image I attached to this post.

Now I didn t upload this as my lawyer was the one who applied. The documents are named with my application number and either Part 1 and Part 9 at the end.

The part 1 document is the G-28.

The Part 9 document is pages 3-6 of the I-130a, my passport photos, and my wife s passport photos. Along with a transaction payment form?

This raises some concerns in my head. Namely, is the I-130 supposed to show up here along with my entire submission?

if not, why did would there only be pages 3-6 of the I-130a? Does it have to do with the G-28 since my wife s signatures aren t on the G-28?

I was told it was done correctly, but I don t feel confident enough in his ability to be sure. So turning to here.
