US Immigration from Syria

Hello guys,

I have entered the US as a legal immigrant with an IR1 spousal visa and my age was 26 years and 17 days (yup I calculated the days too :p).

Do I have to register with the SS? do I have to mail them? I did not receive any mail from their side.

anyone with similar experience?

So my status changed to "My card is mailed to me" and I contacted USCIS to get a tracking number which was not yet available. I found out during the call that my apartment number was not mentioned even though I put it in the mailing address TWICE. So now my card was sent without an apartment number to my address.

What will happen now? I am enrolled in the USPS informed delivery. will that help? Should I contact USPS? please advice

I've changed my address and informed the USCIS by updating the myUSCIS profile and filling the AR-11 online form and in the very same day my GC status changed to "card is being produced".

So where will my card be mailed to? my old address or the new address? I tried calling many times but they keep me on hold for alot of time.

i landed in Dallas few hours ago but faced a problem. The CBP officer stamped my passport after secondary interview but wrote a wrong type of visa. I came with an IR1 and he wrote IR5.

I tried going back to him but was not permitted to do that. I asked other officers and they told me that this should not be an issue but I am still concerned.

what do you think i should do? Thank you

I might be able to catch a flight from Lebanon to Germany (transit)to the US.

will i be able to do so if i hold an IR1 visa?

did anyone try doing this before?
