We have a daughter living in sweden with her 2 year old son. She is US citizen trough her father that was born US citizen.

Now the daughter wants to move to us in US and bring her 2 year old baby with her. I have read up un the different possibilities

to her getting her son in to US and live with her.

The thing is that she has never herself lived in US. Her father (baby's grandfather) has lived her for his first 23-24 years and

now we have been here for 1,5 years.

I am not sure of what application needs to be filled in both for her to enter US with her baby, she has a US passport for her self.

But she needs to have some kind of visa for the baby. Can anyone recommend what applications need to be done and maybe in what order?

There are a little confusing that n-600k if that is a citizenship that doesn't qualify for moving and living in US for a little baby.

What is the best way for her to get here as quickly as possible. She needs her family (us).

Thank you

When Online Transcripts Option Doesn't Apply To You

It was brought to my attention by another member here, that now the IRS is not processing transcript requests by mail currently until further notice. Which is troublesome because for a whole bunch of reasons not everyone can access the transcripts via online option.

What would the Visa Journey community recommend for people who are not able to access the transcripts online method but are in need of their transcripts for immigration purposes?

I thought surely this community is filled with a bunch of resourceful, creative, informative, helpful people surely we can think of ways to help others that are in this situation.

Thank you all in advance

https://amp.miamiherald.com/news/local/immigration/article241908526.html

On March 18, The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) temporarily suspended all in-person services to immigrants in an effort to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.

The office closure affects tens of thousands of individuals awaiting immigration benefits such as extensions of status, work permits, green cards and U.S. citizenship through naturalization including those who have interview appointments, biometric services and naturalization ceremonies.

The paralysis of immigration procedures has generated anxiety in people with open processes, such as asylum seekers, permanent residents with green cards awaiting for American citizenship, and others with pending cases in immigration courts.

Critics: USCIS Policies Make Immigration Difficult And Dangerous

https://www.forbes.com/sites/stuartanderson/2020/03/23/critics-uscis-policies-make-immigration-difficult-and-dangerous/amp/

In the age of coronavirus, policies imposed by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) are making it difficult for businesses, high-skilled professionals and others to file applications and meet deadlines. Attorneys say that although USCIS has made one positive accommodation their clients deserve policies that better take into account the new health and safety realities of doing business under social distancing, remote work and USCIS office closures.

https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2020/03/us-govt-expects-18-month-pandemic-with-widespread-supply-shortages/?amp=1

The US government is reportedly preparing for the coronavirus pandemic to last 18 months or longer and result in "significant shortages for government, private sector, and individual US consumers."

A 100-page US government plan was leaked to The New York Times, which today published an article summarizing the highlights.

The plan's warnings include the following:

  • Shortages of products may occur, impacting health care, emergency services, and other elements of critical infrastructure... This includes potentially critical shortages of diagnostics, medical supplies (including PPE [personal protective equipment] and pharmaceuticals), and staffing in some locations.
  • State and local governments, as well as critical infrastructure and communications channels, will be stressed and potentially less reliable. These stresses may also increase the challenges of getting updated messages and coordinating guidance to these jurisdictions directly
