Hello everyone,

I have applied a K1 visa for my fianc overseas and he had his interview December 2018. They placed him under AP and last updated the status with a refusal a year after. Today, the embassy sent us an email apologizing for the late reply and requested new medical exam and police record since it s been way over time. However, my issue is that we got married overseas after receiving our refusal on CEAS last year. I am confused on what I should do now that we re married. Do I proceed with requested forms or do I state that we re married and cancel the visa. We were so desperate to get married and waited for a decision for so long and once we got the denial a year later we decided to marry. Can someone please help?

Hello fellow Visa journeyers!

(short version)

So my question is.. if I quite my job and go stay with my husband overseas until his interview and we both come back will that be a problem since I already signed the affidavit of support and made enough for this year to support him? Will I need to have a co-sponsor? Will the embassy know I quite my job?

I am a US citizen petitioning for my husband who is overseas. I am now in the NVC process. I submitted all the paperwork they have asked for. I do make enough to support my husband here in the states. I was overseas with him and returned to America in nov 2019. I only have a tax return for 2019 fi the 3 months I worked. I kept working with my current employer throughout 2020 and made above the requirements to sponsor my husband. Therefore I signed the affidavit of support form. BUT NOW!!! I miss my husband I haven t seen him in almost a year. My job won t give me more than 10 continuous days off. And tickets to overseas are very expensive. I want to quite my job and go see him and stay with him until the embassy interview. So my question is.. if I quite my job and go stay with my husband overseas until his interview and we both come back will that be a problem since I already signed the affidavit of support and made enough for this year to support him? Will I need to have a co-sponsor? Will the embassy know I quite my job?

hello everyone!

I received a letter from the USICS earlier this month for RFE. asking for proof of a bona-fide marriage. I gathered affidavits from family and friends, pictures of our engagement and marriage ceremony, I have my spouse listed as a beneficiary on my life insurance so I will include that.

I wanted to ask if there should be any more papers to send as I don t want to receive another RFE.

should I send in my tax return and W2?

What papers does the NVC usually ask for at this stage?

I am filing for an I-130 for my spouse that is in Sudan.

Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all for your time.

Hello everyone!! I got a letter requesting evidence of a bona-fide Marriage which is a good sign that at least my case has been opened.

We have not lived together since we got married in October we lived in my Vacant parents house for the short time and I came here late October.
I did include him on my life insurance plan provided by my company. In my country joint bank account are nonexistent.
I have pictures of us with family and friends. Of our Wedding ceremony that was very private.
what else can I provide?

my layers mentioned if I do provide letters from affidavit they would have to be notarized in my country. What does that mean? How do I notarized letters from other friends and family?
does anyone know the format for such letters?

the letter stated the following:

INTENT TO MARRY WAS BONA-FIDE
Submit evidence to establish that (MY NAME), intent in marriage was to establish a life together with (SPOUSE NAME) The evidence submitted should cover the entire period of the marriage. Such evidence may include, but is not limited to:
(a) Proof of joint insurance policies or that one party was listed as a beneficiary on the insured spouse s policy;
(b) Property leases, mortgages, or registrations;
(c) Shared financial obligations and assets such as jointly filed income taxes showing that each return was properly filed with the state or federal government, or jointly held bank accounts, credit card accounts or utility bills;

(d) Testimony or other evidence regarding courtship, wedding ceremony, shared residence and experience. You may submit your own statements or affidavits from others.
If you submit third party affidavits you must submit a sworn statement explaining why the usual supporting documents are unavailable. Additionally, each affidavit must conform to the guidelines cited below:
Affidavits -- Written statements sworn to or affirmed by two persons, other than yourself and the person you are petitioning for, who were living at the time the events(s) occurred, and who have personal knowledge of the event(s) you are trying to establish--for example, the date and place of a birth (including both parents names); the date and place of a marriage or death. The persons making the affidavits may be relatives and need not be citizens of the United States. Each affidavit must contain the following information regarding the person making the affidavit: his/her full name and address; date and place of birth; relationship to you, if any; full information concerning the event(s); and complete details concerning how he/she acquired knowledge of the event(s).
USCIS will not accept a single statement signed by multiple individuals. Each person should submit their own affidavit to their personal knowledge of the event.
