Hi all, May 2019 I-751 filer here and just received an NOA with an interview request for April 16, 2021 in the Portland field office. My question: do they allow long-term rescheduling, such as for July? What would be a valid reason for this? We are stuck overseas can probably only come back in July. As a long shot, can we do this in a consulate overseas? Most likely not but just putting that out there ;). Thanks in advance. Key text in the NOA: "You are hereby notified to appear for the interview appointment, as scheduled below, for the completion of your Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence (Form I-751).... call the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283 as soon as possible to reschedule your interview. There is no penalty for requesting that your appointment be rescheduled."

Hello all, I hope you can help me. Soon to be traveling to the US to get married! I'm getting ready some paperwork in advance and I have a few questions: I understand when you file for AOS (master form is I-485) and optional forms include I-131 and I-765. Do all forms go to the same service center? I understand is the National Benefits Center. At what point my form I-485 goes to my local field office (Boston)? Is there any rule that determines where do my different file goes regarding processing times? Thank you very much in advance!

Hi my wife is adjusting her status based on marriage and her GC interview is scheduled for end of this month, we were planning on traveling abroad about a week after the interview. She has her travel document, but we're concerned that it may be invalid after the greencard interview. Is the advances parole valid until the case is approved or until we receive her greencard? Thanks!

Hi all, I've been unable to find this anywhere but I am wondering a few things: 1. Does the birth certificate have to be apostilled? 2. My fiance is from Romania but has lived in Spain since the age of 16. I am assuming he will need to show a background check from both countries. My question is does anyone know the specific name of the background check he needs to request? I ask because he had to present a Romanian background check here in Spain and he had gotten one type but was denied and had to request a different type which was then approved. I'm unsure if there are two different types of background checks in the country or how that works but any insight would be great!! 3. Can these documents be requested in advance? We are about 5 months in on our process and the last time he asked for the birth certificate and background check + apostille it took about 3 months to arrive... so figured maybe we should go ahead and request them?
