Hello Everyone,

I m new to this website. Just would like some advice for clarification since our situation is a bit different.

I m an US citizen, my husband is a Korean citizen. We got married in my home town of Honolulu in 2018. However right after our wedding we moved abroad and have been living in Myanmar for a year and a half but would like to come back to Hawaii to live. Would the K3 visa be the best route to go? Start the application process when we both move back to US? Or does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks in advance for the help!

Is there anybody having or had a case transfer delay? We re processing in K1 visa and now it s consular stage.

We identified Seoul embassy for consular processing, but NVC sent our case Abu dhabi, where I used to live when I filed the petition.

I left the country after resigning company, in a mean time, I requested a case transfer promptly.

NVC sent our case to Abu dhabi on 11/12/2019 and Seoul sent official transfer request to abu dhabi on 11/18/2019. Abu dhabi sent an confirmation email to Seoul about our case has transferred on 12/12/2019. And now it s been almost 2month since we requested...

The most important thing is that our NoA2 expires in 8 days. We consistently asked Seoul embassy to extend our petition because of this delay.

But they told us they can t take any further action before they get the physical file from abu dhabi. Our case was sent by diplomatic pouch, so it ll take some time. They ll contact us once they receive our file. Is it Yes or No?

What should I do? Seems like there s nothing we can do further.... Any advice will be appreciated.

I'm the petitioner and I've been mainly unemployed for a little over 2yrs, and I don't want to use a sponsor.

Is this 2 year gap of unemployment grounds to reject our visa, even if I get a job this month?

I got the NOA1on November 27th, and my fianc e is a Korean native. I expect my fianc e to go on the interview by the summer.

So would me working for 5-7 months prior to the interview be good enough assuming it's above the income requirements? Or have you seen many cases that have been rejected on those grounds?

I am moving soon and I have found some apartments that I like but they have income restrictions of $53,160 for two people or $46,000 for one, and I can add my fiance later. Is this type of affordable housing part of the public charge that will get us denied for my fiance's green card/ the future? I am so confused by the public charge thing.
