What kind of health insurance did you use for your fiancé? |

I would like to know what your experience has been with health insurance for your fianc e/fianc . It is my understanding that we are unable to use any sort of assistance, like medicaid, so I'm wondering how that effects us. My fianc e has insurance in her own country and will likely keep it, but we are concerned about what we can purchase for her when she is here since she won't be working for 8 months. How did you or others you know handle this situation? Obviously we're a little concerned too because of COVID. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I am filling out the form I-485. Under Recent Immigration History (20a.) the form asks for the place of last arrival into the United States. However, I flew into Canada and went through customs there before flying into the Atlanta airport. Do I put Atlanta, GA or do I try to put Toronto? There is no place to put Canadian provinces - so I am assuming Atlanta is fine. I just want to be careful that it follows my immigration history! Thanks so much!

My fianc e and I are considering using the K1 visa just for the purpose of getting married, visiting my family, and then leaving. I am currently living in the US but am applying to jobs in her country. We've had a change of plans after I've been unable to find a sustainable income for us. Would there be any problem with me getting a job in her country, moving there, and then coming back to the US on vacation solely for the purpose of getting married? Besides the fact it's a lot of back and forth, are there any legal reason this might be a bad idea, like potentially getting our visa rejected? Can I simply use a foreign address on the USCIS website? We just recently got our petition (I-29f) approved .

Hey everyone - my mom (LPR) filed a i-130 for me back in 2005 and it recently got approved. I am planning to do AOS under the 245(i) category (legal entry, visa overstay, and my mom filed for a labor cert back in 2001). Unfortunately, she threw away everything related to that. Im looking specifically for her ETA-750 form, or approved labor certification from 2001. Would a FOIA to department of labor be the right way to get those files? Anyone have any experience with FOIA to DOL? I also submitted a FOIA for my mom to USCIS for her A-file. Thanks!
