I am currently in America on a temporary green card, and am about to send in my application for Permanent Resident Green Card (I-751). I have a concern though, recently, I had a back injury outside of work and had been out of work for about a month. My job mentioned that they will not be paying me but I could reach out to our State Government in order to receive disability pay. (For some states, like NJ, that is the rules, you go through the government and not through work.) Anyway, the concern I have is that, if I go through the government, will that in any way reflect how they look at my application for Permanent Resident Green Card, and further down the line for US Citizenship? I don't want to mess up, but during these difficult time, I also could use the money. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!

OK here s our situation, my husband came here on the K-1 visa in March 2020 we got married in April and then we filed for adjustment of status at the end of April and they had a request for more evidence and then they accepted our application July 9, 2020 via SMS text. Online it says that they had started working on our case again but we have not received our NOA for any of our applications, (work permit, travel permit in the main Adjustment of status). We have made multiple service requests online and through the phone (T1) and nothing has happened. We have talked to a TIER 2 Agent and they put in another request for us about 2 1/2 weeks ago..I got an email saying The national benefit center location is working on our case. We know we have to wait 30 days but seriously we have no idea what to do if they just continue to not do anything. Is there anything we can do? We found out that the service requests we put in before everyone just kept looking at it and thinking it s being taken care of by someone else. Advice? My husband is losing his mind here because he can t work or do anything and he s convinced that the government will just continue to not do their job. We know everyone is waiting on biometrics but seriously we dont even have our NOA forms. We re calling every week to check if someone has been assigned to our case or not, so far not. They cashed our check as well.

My cosponsor no longer wants to sponsor my fianc e and we have our interview set for January 26th. I only made ~12k in 2019 working temporary jobs and for the first 3 quarters of this year, 2020, I worked a temporary job but got a permanent job in the 4th quarter which has put me above the poverty level. Now in my new role I will be making enough money, 40k, and the role is permanent. I'm concerned that the lack of money I made in 2019 will reject our request for a visa. I wanted this cosponsor as a safety measure and now that they are not willing to do it I feel that our visa might get rejected. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
