Hello, My wife (non US citizen) and I filed our I-485, I-131, & I-765 early July 2020. We received an RFE in August, responded promptly, and USCIS informed us through the status check that they received my RFE docs and have begun working on my case in September. Since then, there hasn t been one peep from USCIS. I tried calling them, but kept getting stonewalled by the automated messaging system not allowing me to speak with a live agent. I am wondering if anyone hasn t received their biometrics appointment for this long, and if so, what have you done about it? Should I just keep twiddling my fingers and wait? Or is there something else I can do to speed up the process? Thank you in advance for any advice or insight. *By the way, I am located in the Bay Area (near San Francisco).

Hi guys, I cannot remember if I ve asked this yet but, our K1 application moved to NVC in December (12-2). I called NVC last month and they confirmed they have ours and gave me the case and invoice numbers. Operator told me Seoul hasn t requested it yet. Does that mean it will wait at NVC until US embassy Seoul requests K1 applications from NVC? I just feel weird letting it sit there as if I m doing something wrong. I don t want it to expire at NVC because of our inaction. Is there anything we need to do to move our K1 from NVC to Seoul embassy? Or just wait on the embassy to request it and move it forward?

My wife had her interview today for her green card today and was approved. The officer gave us the approval letter and we put it with our documents and left. On the way home, we decided to look at the letter and noticed that they had the incorrect birth date on her approval letter. The officer had entered her date of entry twice. Her birth date has the same date as her date of entry. Will this be her birth date on her green card? Or is this just the date on the approval letter and won't effect the green card?

Hello, I am currently waiting on our initial CR1/I-130 petition to be approved from May 2020. At this time, I am employed until March 23rd, but thereafter I am not going to be working or signing another contract with my employer, as I can only do 1 year contracts and am hopefully expecting to be returning with my wife to the USA hopefully in the Fall. What items, or documents need to be changed. I know that after the approval, it goes to the NVC. We have money saved and no debt at the moment. I also have domicile in the USA already. Will this affect my chances of getting approved at the NVC if I am unemployed but my wife is still working?

Hello Everyone~ My husband and I have now made it to the U.S. I'm now looking into changing my last name (hypenating my maiden with my husband's last name). Searching on the process in my state (FL) they basically say you bring a copy of the marriage license and the name on there has to be what you're changing it to. However, as we got married in South Korea, the women their keep their last names even after marriage. Therefore, on our marriage certificate, it still has my original name. Does anyone know if there is something specific I would have to do or have any experience with this kind of situation? Thank in advance~
