Didn't file for 2019 tax return

So basically I moved to South Korea early Feb 2019.. When tax season came along in 2020 I didn't file for my taxes because I was unemployed living with my husband for that year...so I didn't know I had to do my taxes as I didn't make any money in or outside of the US that year. When attaching documents to my I-864 should I just include this as a reason I can't submit my recent tax return?... I do have a joint sponsor (my sister in law) who we will be staying with temporarily when we move back to the US....But I'm worried my reason isn't valid???

Uploading Joint Sponsor and Household Member Tax Docs

Wondering if anyone can help guide me in the correct way to upload tax documents for the joint sponsor and household member on CEAC.
My mother filed I-864 as my joint sponsor and step-dad filed I-864A as her household member. They filed taxes jointly. I'm confused about how to upload their tax return documents (they don't have a tax transcript). I uploaded each part of the tax return under the joint sponsor. After that:
1. Should I upload both my mom's and my step-dad's W-2s under the joint sponsor, since both W-2s tied to that tax return?
2. Should I upload the same joint tax return and both of their W-2s under the household member as well?
Any help is appreciated.

hello, so I will be petitioning for a green card soon but I worry they won't count my foreign income for the financial assessment. Could a co sponsor be allowed to provide the full amount in so we could clear this section?

Questions about ITIN application

Just a quick background story about my wife and me (U.S citizen): We filed our AOS application (I-485, I-765, I-131) last year in July 2020. I haven t gotten any notice about my wife s biometrics appointment yet.

This is the first year I will file under the married filed jointly status. I have read through countless forums here and on reddit about how I should proceed. I just wanted to see if I would be taking the correct steps throughout this process. Any advice or clarification is greatly appreciated!

I booked an appointment for early March at my local tax assistance center, where I will submit my completed 1040 tax return form and w-7 form (ITIN application for wife). I am doing this because I don t want her to send in her passport. Now, I have two questions:

1. (For those in California) Obviously, my wife won t have an SSN or ITIN to enter when filing my California state tax return. Should I file for an extension and then submit my state tax return after I receive my ITIN? Or, should I file my California state tax return before the deadline and just put applied for ITIN in the appropriate space?

2. I know it takes quite a long time to receive an ITIN and refund nowadays with paper returns. If my wife ends up receiving her SSN while the ITIN application or tax refund is pending, do I have to send an amended return with her SSN? Or, can I just use this SSN when filing for my taxes next year?

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

No Biometrics Yet (July Filer)

Hello,

My wife (non US citizen) and I filed our I-485, I-131, & I-765 early July 2020. We received an RFE in August, responded promptly, and USCIS informed us through the status check that they received my RFE docs and have begun working on my case in September.

Since then, there hasn t been one peep from USCIS. I tried calling them, but kept getting stonewalled by the automated messaging system not allowing me to speak with a live agent.

I am wondering if anyone hasn t received their biometrics appointment for this long, and if so, what have you done about it? Should I just keep twiddling my fingers and wait? Or is there something else I can do to speed up the process?

Thank you in advance for any advice or insight.

*By the way, I am located in the Bay Area (near San Francisco).
