Hi there , 3 Years ago I made a huge mistake , drove drunk and was convicted with a DWI and had a BAC of 0.17, there was no one injured or any child in the car with me . I ended up making a no contest plea . In Texas this is a misdemeanor A . I've never been convicted of any crimes or have had any tickets ever . This year I'll be starting the process to file for my Green card through my wife . Are there any complications that I might have and also do I need a waiver . I'm completely new to the visa process . I've been married to my wife for 3 years plus . My current status is that I came here on asylum and I was planning to do an adjustment of status and proceed filling through my wife. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or need more info.

My partner will be filing for citizenship based on marriage (3 year rule) after a k1 visa. He was previously married and has a son. The mother is refusing to accept any child support. She wants nothing to do with him, so she wont sign any contract. She definitely wont write up a notarised letter for him. My partner has still sent her money every month. Will simply proof of payment every month be sufficient in the citizenship interview? Is there anything else we can do?

Hey guys! Hope I put this in the correct forum. I am back living in the states, but the past six years I have been living abroad, predominantly in China where I met my husband. My husband is still in China working and we are starting to get some of our documents together for the next stage so there won't be any unnecessary delays. However, we realized a lot of our documents (rental agreement, residence registrations, police clearances, ring receipt, etc.) all need to be translated into English. Where did you go to get this done? Is there a company in China you recommend or did you have someone do it in the states? Google has been horribly unhelpful for obvious reasons (being blocked in China and all that) and using Baidu didn't turn up much either.

Dear Sir/ Madam, Thank you for your email. Our records indicate that Mr. xxxxxxxx immigrant visa application is still undergoing administrative processing. Administrative processing often lasts about 90 days, but in some instances, it can take significantly longer. And, in some cases, this involves extensive administrative processing. While we cannot predict when the processing of Mr. xxxxxxxxxxxx. visa will be completed, please be assured that Consular Johannesburg and the Department of State are aware of your concerns and will do all we can to see that the visa is adjudicated as soon as the processing of his application has been completed. Sincerely, Please tell me is there any hope ????
