US Immigration from South Africa

Hi there! This is my first post here, so hopefully I m posting this in the correct place. I ve tried searching the forums and using keys words and couldn t find the answer to this question.

During the final interview I saw that the consulate in Johannesburg, South Africa does allow for the US Petitioner to be present. However, we are trying to gauge how important it is. Does it make no difference either way or does it really help the interview to have both parties present?

Hi Guys. I need help and guidance. I had put a post on this group in November 2019 as we were having challenges with proof of physical presence with our Consulate in Durban (South Africa). We managed to overcome the challenge and proceeded to do DNA. We did DNA on the 17th December 2019 and to date our kit hasn't reached the Lab in America. Noone from embassy is responding to our emails nor phone calls. Has anyone ever experienced something like this? Is there a way we can complain about this service from our embassy. The only communication received was that our kit went on a wrong mail and was sent the diplomatic route. This mail was sent on the 3rd January and was meant to take a week. We have had senator involved but this embassy is ow not even responding to senators emails. Any advise or guidance will be appreciated.TIA

Seeing as SFV office is not on the USCIS site, so I can't track timeline, Im curious to see if anyone else has applied/went there for AOS interview, and what the timeline was from date of filing. I mailed mine off early September 2019. Interview online status changed to ready to be scheduled for interview, on 9 Nov 2019.. and now I wait.

How to get the USCIS gives accurate information online.

The processing time for Application for Waiver of Grounds of Inadmissibility (I-601) at Nebraska Service Center shows that as of today 01/17/2020, they are working on files received on June 1^st, 2019.

June 1^st, 2019 was a Saturday and USCIS does not work on Saturdays.

I am right folks?

Hello , I'm new here my husband and I are starting out process of Adjustment of Status but we're both confused and not sure where to start . We haven't filled anything. can anyone please tell me all the forms we need to file for an Adjustment of Status and what the total cost is. Please help we are both lost
