US Immigration from South Africa

Good Morning all,

Does anyone know if the consulate in Johannesburg is open and processing?

My fiance and i have had our application at the NVC in New Hampshire since April and it was at the USCIS in California since last November , I called and got the receipt number also

When it arrived at the NVC it had JHN letters now with a new case number but every day I have checked since April it says "At NVC " does anyone know what the hold up is? is it a USA hold up? or is the problem in Johannesburg?

Is there anything i can do to help expedite? My Fiance and her Daughter are waiting on their Police Clearances but those seem to be taking forever also

I am very upset, lost and confused. I don t want to air out my issue on this forum. My relationship sadly isn t working out as I wanted to. How do I go about withdrawing the application I know I have to write a letter but, what does it need to include. Also if it s at CSC which lockbox do I mail it to?

How do I know if I can qualify for a visa interview waiver if all my documents have been approved and me and my husband(applicant) are stuck in India? We cannot return to Korea currently where we have lived. If he was allowed to go to the US we would go directly from India especially given the unique circumstance.

I am in the process of bringing my mother here from South Africa, we have paid the IV and AOS fees and are filling out the documents. How soon after submitting the application, do we need to submit the civil documents? We have them all except for the Police Clearance Certificate due to lengthy delays at the Police Stations in South Africa with the ongoing Covid pandemic. Can we submit everything that we have and then once we have the certificate, submit that then? I obviously would prefer not to have an RFE, but any advice would be appreciated

my fianc and I met jan 2019. We met once in 2020 for a week I plan on going again in September. He lives in South Africa and the reason for lack of visits is due to both of us being in college.

1. I have children he does not but he accepts mine and talks to them. Their real dad is not involved.

2. I have met his family and he talks to mine via FaceTime Facebook

3. we are both the same class and religion

4. Neither of us are married or been married

we are both highly anxious
