US Immigration from South Africa

Can someone please assist yesterday my husband and I received the denial for our adjustment of status we filed in 2021 and yesterday we were denied. We have been together for 12 years and married for almost eight. I have not received the denial letter yet but I'm not sure what my next steps are I know we have to consult with an immigration attorney but I'd like to know what do I do as far as my job goes I'm a paralegal I work for a law firm can I continue working until I get The denial letter? we will obviously refile but I just would like to know what my next options are we are completely and utterly devastated.

Hey all, just a very quick question as I prepare our paperwork for AOS:

If my fiance is receiving a SSN/card prior to us filing and we provide that number on the forms, should we also be requesting a new card be issued? My understanding is that the one he gets prior to our wedding will be conditional, I want to know if we have to request a new one for the EAD, or if that will be issued automatically upon approval, even if we say no on the form. I just wat to say thanks to everyone for all your input and help during our first phase of the process. My fianc had his interview Aug 15th, 2024 and was approved. We are waiting for notification to get his visa picked up. Good luck to those still waiting on their approval.

Hi there, quick hypothetical question:

For the I-864 that the sponsor submits, is that proof of income something you need at the interview, or for the initial petition? My fiance and I intend to work on getting pregnant as soon as he enters the country. The possibility that I will be on leave 9-12 months from now is a potential reality. Will this affect my ability to sponsor him, if my pay is frozen due to FMLA?

I have a parent who applied for a recently permit and left after getting their fingerprints taken November of last year. Briefly visited March of this year and left again. 6 month mark would be next month. Hypothetically, would they lose their green card if they don t enter the US for over a year without having a reentry permit approved yet?
