So my NOA1 is 8 July. Based on USCIS processing projections at the time - 6.5-8.5 months, I sold my business in preparations that I would leave early 2022 with my 3 kids to join my US fianc , obviously after joining all these forums I have realized the massive backlog etc and now all these increased processing times on USCIS website but the problem is currently I have no income at all for 2 months already and it looks like I won t get my NOA2 until earliest July 2022. I can t support myself and my 3 children, I also did not enroll my children in schooling for this year (enrollments were mid 2021 when we made application), so now am scrambling to get them some sort of homeschool programs- this also comes at a cost which I can t afford. My fianc is currently in South Africa supporting us all but needs to go back to US soon as he needs to work etc, would this be solid reason to be expedited?

I'm wondering how long you waited for your NOA2 if the petitioner (USC) filed the I-130 when living overseas and used an overseas mailing address. Also, when did you file if you haven't received NOA2 yet. I know the USCIS process is clouded in mystery and there is no rhyme or reason to when a case gets approved but still... When did you file? Where was your petition located? When was your petition approved? Where do you reside? I'm curious to hear answers. If you filed while living overseas but used a US mailing address, I'd be curious to hear your answers.

Is it possible to expedite an I-130 application on medical grounds and what would the process be? The I-130 applications were received in September 2021 and an IOE....number received.

Hello! My fiance and I recently got engaged. She is here on a j-1 visa that expires in July of 2022 (not subject to the 2 year foreign residency requirement). She has not been home in a few years, and she and I would like to visit before us getting married it possible. I see two options: 1. We get married close to the end of her visa and then file for AOS 2. We file for K1 Visa early next year while she is still in the USA. When her visa expires in July she will head back to South Africa to complete the interview scheduling, medical exam etc.. and then return on the K1 Visa after approval. Risks related to Covid travel bans aside, is option 2 possible? We were planning to discuss this in depth with a immigration attorney, but were curious if anyone had any knowledge regarding this. Thanks!
