While we wait for further info on our Spouse Visa, I got to thinking about moving our belongings. The question which springs to mind is will our UK TVs work in USA? They are a Sony Smart Tv and a Samsung (not Smart). I guess there will be no issues with Now TV stick or Amazon Stick? Grateful for some guidance.

Filed I-90 instead of I-751 in November. Next steps? |

In November 2019 I submitted my I-90, mistakenly believing that this was the correct form to both renew my green card and remove conditions on my permanent resident status. Yesterday I received my decision letter. Because I hadn't filed my I-751, the I-90 was rejected. My conditional permanent resident status expired in May 2020. Obviously I'm freaking out about this. I have access to an immigration attorney through my wife's work but it might take up to 48 hours for them to get in touch with me. In the meantime I've filled out my I-751 and am gathering all my evidence for the legitimacy of our marriage (tax returns, joint bank statements, wedding certificate, photograph, insurance documents, etc). I'm not too worried about that part as my wife and I have been together for 11 years now. Is there anything extra I should include with the evidence? Presumably some kind of letter of explanation pointing out that I submitted the I-90 six months prior to my expiration of status in the good faith that I was complying with all my legal requirements? Has anyone done something similar and if so how this mistake impacted their removal of conditions?

When do you think routine visa services will resume? |

When routine services resume, would it be on a country to country basis or across the board? The proclamation to stop them was across the board so I'm assuming that, combined with lifting of travel restrictions, will cause them to resume? Also, why are we still blocking the UK/Europe from entering the US when we have so much more community spread? The fact we haven't lifted these restrictions and there hasn't even been a discussion about it, makes me think this is just an excuse to stop immigration. What are we waiting for? For the USA to have covid under control? With how things are going, that could be next year? It's very strange to me, for example, travel between Mexico and the US is allowed and not between UK and the US. When do people think, things will resume? Does anyone actually think that the August appointments won't be cancelled? It's so difficult to plan life having no idea.

When did you last see your fianc /fianc e? For me it was February. Our March and July interview was cancelled. I'm not super hopeful our August appointment will come through or that the US will drop the travel ban anytime soon. Instead of hoping for the interview, I'm thinking of heading over to the UK for a couple months and just going through with the 2 week quarantine.
