Rejected AOS Packet Turnaround Time

Hello everyone,

I am anxiously awaiting any kind of notice on my husband and I's AOS package (sent in 8/26, received 8/28). The money orders have still not been cashed... I was wondering, those of you who have had a package rejected, how long between sending it in and getting it back did it take? It feels like I should know one way or the other by now. But maybe no news is good news?

Mailing packages from US to UK

Hoping some of you are actually in the US or have experience with this. It's been years since I mailed packages to the UK and with travel restrictions and nobody going back and forth, that option is out this year.

My main concern is I recall a customs duty that gets charged to the recipient. I really don't want them to be liable to pay for receiving their gift and I don't know if I can pay the duty upfront from here. Do you know what the max value is without being charged? Should I send several small packets? Value the contents at cost, not replacement cost? I'm not sending anything expensive or valuable but my family had a trip for daughter's graduation booked for May, which obviously got canceled and their two rescheduled trips have been canceled. I'm really not hanging onto hope that travel will open up by mid November for their fourth option! So I want to get some small gifts and cards over to them just so they have something for Christmas and hopefully they will be able to come over early next year and get the rest.

Is it possible to order online from a UK company, pay with a US card and my billing address here and have it delivered to their address in the UK? Open to any options as it's been several years and I have no idea what the rules are now.

Thanks, guys.

Hi! Sorry if this is the incorrect place to post this, I am new and just looking for some advice.

My fiancee & I got engaged last month and were planning on going through the CR1 visa route however we have recently switched and are looking to go through K1. We have met once in person, August this year, and have no concerns re. the other risk factors.

However, she was previously a stay at home mum for two years and has only recently (this month) gone back to work. She does make over the income requirement for a household of 3 for the K1 however as she only has one pay slip so far and I have doubts this would be sufficient evidence. Does anyone have similar experience/can advise how long she would have to be employed/earning this amount for the application to be approved?

Any help would be appreciated!

Will It Work? UK TV etc

While we wait for further info on our Spouse Visa, I got to thinking about moving our belongings.

The question which springs to mind is will our UK TVs work in USA? They are a Sony Smart Tv and a Samsung (not Smart). I guess there will be no issues with Now TV stick or Amazon Stick?

Grateful for some guidance.

Filed I-90 instead of I-751 in November. Next steps?

In November 2019 I submitted my I-90, mistakenly believing that this was the correct form to both renew my green card and remove conditions on my permanent resident status.

Yesterday I received my decision letter. Because I hadn't filed my I-751, the I-90 was rejected.

My conditional permanent resident status expired in May 2020. Obviously I'm freaking out about this.

I have access to an immigration attorney through my wife's work but it might take up to 48 hours for them to get in touch with me. In the meantime I've filled out my I-751 and am gathering all my evidence for the legitimacy of our marriage (tax returns, joint bank statements, wedding certificate, photograph, insurance documents, etc). I'm not too worried about that part as my wife and I have been together for 11 years now.

Is there anything extra I should include with the evidence? Presumably some kind of letter of explanation pointing out that I submitted the I-90 six months prior to my expiration of status in the good faith that I was complying with all my legal requirements?

Has anyone done something similar and if so how this mistake impacted their removal of conditions?
