Hello everyone, My oldest daughter wants to file for Citizenship under the 5yrs rule. She was over 18 when I naturalized (darn Covid delaying everything) and her 5 yr eligibility is finally here. We tried filing online but ran into two issues: A) In Part 6, where it asks if parents were married before the 18th birthday, is this referring to "at the time of turning 18" or is it "at any point in time before turning 18"? Her father and I were married at the time of her birth, but divorced later. B) Still in Part 6, where it asks if the mother is a US Citizen, we said Yes because I am now, but then were not able to fill out the section on my name, date of citizenship, etc. Any help on these would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hey, everyone! I hope I'm posting in the right place. My question is this: how do I prove (to law enforcement, for example) that I am in the United States legally, now that I am waiting for my AOS to be processed? I came to the US at the end of April on a K-1 visa. My I-94 and K-1 non-immigrant visa have both just expired, but my husband and I did get married in the required 90-day period. We sent off my AOS, EAD, and AP package yesterday (while the I-94 and K-1) were valid. My understanding is that yes, I am here legally. But I don't know what proof to show if law enforcement asks me to. Before, I would just show my I-94, but that's not an option any more. On top of that, I would like to renew my driver's license, which expired at the same time as my I-94 (this was the document I used to show legal status). I assumed showing the I-797C form would work, but now I'm not so sure, since that form won't say my application has been approved. Could anyone help me out here? Thank you!

Hello! Not sure if I'm posting this in the right space but I need advice. Immigration lawyers won't answer any calls or emails to even set up a consult. I received my noa1 receipt in the mail the last week of January. I feel really hopeless because it hasn't even changed status to say they're looking at it. I know thats really soon for the process, I get it can take a year or two to get an answer on everything. But this early in the game, I'm wondering if it's better to just get married and go through that whole deal or if at the end of the day, the processes are gonna take the same timeframe. My understanding from the posts I've read is that it's better to switch but I'm so lost. Any info anyone can give me is appreciated. But switch? Why? And how if yes? Thank you in advance!
