Good Morning,

If anyone can provide me some feedback it would be greatly appreciated!
The portuguese border control (SEF) updated their website and there is a section about traveling for family reunion for people that are not married (see imaged below).
I've tried to call them but nobody is picking up the phone. I also reached out to the the embassy and airlines, but no one can give me a definitive answer.

My fianc is American and I'm Portuguese. We lived together in the US (for around 8months) and we have applied for a K1 visa last year (Nov 2019). We share an apartment and both our names are on the lease. Since the pandemic I have been "stuck" in Portugal.

From what I'm understanding, European Citizens and their respective families can fly into Europe for family reunification purposes. If you are not married, you need to prove that you have a long lasting relationship (like you are in a common-law marriage). My understanding is that we fall under that category (common-law marriage), with that in mind can my fianc fly to Portugal?

I think I have my mind made up, but would really appreciate any feedback or a different interpretation of what is written.

Thank you!

Being over 125%, does I-944 still requires my wife's assets?

Hi,

Now that the i944 requirement is back, I have some questions.

1) We are above 125%. From what I read, I (the petitioner) don't need to include my assets. Does that mean my wife (the beneficiary) doesn't have to submit her assets (12 months worth of bank statements) as well?

2) If she needs to submit her bank statements, would we have to translate them all? 2-4 pages per bank statement. That's about 48 pages in total which will cost us over 900 dollars to translate. Will we be able to just translate one bank statement? Because the only thing that changes throughout all the bank statements is the list of purchase and the amount of money she has in her bank.

Help?

Hi,

My wife entered America on a K-1 Fiance Visa.

We mailed in our AOS on August 31, 2020. It arrived there on September 2nd. Today, we got our AOS back saying the fee we wrote on the check is incorrect. Our check was for $1,635.

$1,140 for I-485
$410 for I-765
$85 for biometrics

We didn't send in I-131 as we won't be needing that.

What did we get wrong?

Conditional Green Card has application date instead of approval date

Hello everyone,

I searched to see if anyone had the same problem, but I couldn't find any topic.

I was talking with a friend about green cards and when we needed to apply for removal of conditions and I realized that my green card has the dates for residency and expiration based on the dates I sent the package and my friend had the dates based on when the petition was approved. I tried to find what dates would be correct and it seems that mine is wrong.

Does anyone know if this happened before and what was done to solve the problem? I do not want to apply for ROC on a wrong date. I also used the green card for employment and driver's license and I do not want to be accused of any illegal activity, but I just learned know that my card may be wrong. I tried to contact USCIS but had no success.

Thanks for reading! I appreciate any help you can give.
