We have begun the giant state machine!

On Oct 28th, I overnighted our I-130 and all associated documented to the Arizona Lockbox. Included the e-notification form.

USPS Tracking says it was received on Tuesday.

How long before I hear something via email?

DS160 Marital Status if Annulled?

Hello,

I just would like to ask if there is anyone here that has a similar situation like me. I am applying for B1/B2 visa and I'm currently in the process of completing the DS160 form. I am annulled and this has been approved by the court as of this writing. I didn't see any option for "annulled" in the marital status so I selected "legally separated". However, after I entered the information of my parents, next form page appeared to enter my "CURRENT' spouse information. No option there to select as Former Spouse. Technically, I am annulled so I do not want to put my ex's name there since the form says "current spouse". So now I am wondering whether it is right if I entered "legally separated"? Or should I put "single" instead?

USCIS person kept giving me wrong information

So, I went to a USCIS field office today to get a I-551 stamp. Backstory: I got my conditional green card in the mail this past October 11, 2019. When I looked at the resident since date it say 11/09/18 with an expiration of 11/09/20. So I knew right away that it s wrong and I even went here to double check it. So the next day I went and sent back the green card with I-90 form. So that s that.

So today when I was called in to the window, the lady asked why I m there, and I said I need the stamp. She asked me why, so I explained to her what happened. After looking at my I-797 for I-90 and my I-485 she was saying that the date on my resident since is right. And I said no, and she said that it s right, the date they USCIS received it. So, just to make her understand that she is wrong, I told her, so if I ve been a resident since 2018 how is it that I only got my card last month? Or better yet, I bust out my EAD/AP card saying, if I was a resident since 2018 who would they then issued me an employment authorization March of this year. All she can say to me is, for me to follow what s on the date of my green card when It s time to file for I-751, and she said next year coz that s what it says in my card. How can she say that when she knows that by me following that date on the wrong card would mess up my file and I ll be blamed for it. Not that I would actually follow her bad advice but just irritating that someone who works there would tell me to follow the date on a card that has wrong information. I just need to vent out here. I did get my stamp, a guy who also works there stop at the window I am and the lady asked him. And yes I was right. I asked the guy, if by any chance I m wrong and that I didn t know how this resident since date work.

Moving to another state just before sending I-751 packet

I currently have a 2 year conditional green card (from K1 - marriage to US citizen), which is expiring November 2020. My husband and I are planning on moving from California to Ohio sometime in May 2020 to start a family, closer to his family (as it takes a village to raise a child, we hear lol). I am planning on sending my I-751 packet by August 2020.

I was just wondering what I'd need to do regarding the move? I know I should inform USCIS about my change of address, but aside from that is there anything else you'd advise me to take care of to ensure the smooth processing of my removal of conditions?

Another question I have is that we also will be moving to a temporary Airbnb type situation until we find a house we love and will purchase (my in-laws weren't too keen on us staying at their house for a prolonged period of time unfortunately). I am thinking of just giving my in-law's address to USCIS as our Ohio address, as it will be a more stable location for USCIS mail? We'll see our in-laws at least every week so I should be able to regularly get mail from them. Do you think this is a good plan?

I also plan on calling USCIS sometime soon to ask these questions but this forum has always been helpful in providing answers, so figured I'd get your opinion as well. :)

Thank you!

TAX RETURNS VS TAX TRANSCRIPTS 2019

Hello Everyone! I m new here and this is my first post.

I m under IR1 visa category. I have not set my IV interview (US Embassy Manila Philippines) due to the delay for sputum culture result.

This has been bothering me a lot. I have my husbands 2018 TAX RETURN, 2018 W2, and 6 months pay stubs.

However, everyone that I know has been discouraging me to use it during my interview and insisting that I should get the TAX TRANSCRIPTS.

According to my husband, he tried to request it online but it requires a postpaid number. He also cannot have it mailed since he already moved to a new state.

To those who already got approved only showing the petitioner s TAX RETURNS instead of TAX TRANSCRIPTS, did the consul accept it or were you put on 221g asking for the petitioner s IRS TAX TRANSCRIPTS?

Thank you for your optimistic response.
