Good day everyone! I'm a U.S Citizen, and 3 years ago I sponsored my younger sister to come here in the U.S under F1 student visa. She is still here under F1, just turned 18, and currently on her first year of college. My mom who I petitioned, just got here last year and she is a permanent resident, as soon as she got here last year, she filed a Form I130 for my younger sister and we just got a letter that it's has been approved and my sister can now submit Form I-485. My question is who is the principal applicant? Is it my sister or my mom?I'm helping my sister to fill this form out. I'm also attaching a photo that got me confused. The part 2 about principal applicant and derivative applicant. Do I need to fill out the number 3 and 4 or just number 5 to 9? Thank you so much for you help.

Hi Everyone, I was wondering if anyone is able to clarify what documents are needed to upload if any before interview. This is for my wife's parents and the operator had told her some conflicting information on the phone which has led me to question what I've already told her. We got an email about what to bring to the interview, there are black and red boxes on this checklist. I assume it means marked as any box with an 'X' in it, all the red boxes are empty so I don't think we have anymore to upload to CEAC and we just have to bring the documents to the interview. Sorry if this is covered somewhere else, but I've been searching for other examples and have not been able to find anything.

My wife came here on a K-1 visa. After we got married I did the needful and applied for AoS, EAS and AP. None of yet finished processing. However: All of the documentation from the Federal Government has her married last name on it. (Not her maiden name) Today we went to renew her state ID (Florida). (That's a major pain in the butt by the way, but that's another story) Even though all of the documents (NOA1, etc) from the USCIS contain her married last name, when the local authorities queried the Federal Database, it still shows her maiden name. Thus, they had to issue the ID in her maiden name. She has no ID with her married name. We can't update her Social Security card without this. Anyone have any idea when the Feds update their system? (This is minor in comparison to the length of time it takes for EAS and AP, but ... it's an issue non-the-less) Thanks for any insight you can offer.
