I 130 Name/Birth Certificate Question.

Came to the US in 2007 on K1. Became a US citizen in 2013 (from the Philippines). Getting ready to start I130 to bring only my mom (father passed away). On my birth certificate my mom's name is listed as Maria Gloria. On her birth certificate and her Philippine Passport her name is listed as Mari Glo. (don't ask me why I have no idea) She grew up as Maria Gloria but never really paid attention to her birth certificate. She had no problem getting her Philippine passport (not a single person ever questioned her about it). Is this going to be a problem with the I130 application? I listed it in the section where you list other names used. Thanks as usual for all of the help this site provides!!

Hi Guys ,

My wife and I are filing an Affidavit of Support for a family friend for her petition ( I-485 ) . We filed jointly for the past 6 yrs .

My question is - Do we need to complete two separate I- 864 - Affidavit of support forms and attach the required financial documents ? or can I just file one I-864 with the supporting documents ?

I appreciate your kind response .

Thanks

Hi everyone,

I received an email from NVC today that my petition for my wife has been approved from the USCIS. I was wondering how long does it take the NVC to process my wife application after they collected the applicable fees and required documents. Thank you.

Ok... I have done SO much research and everything else through our process with y all s help.

Our interview date for AOS is coming up.

I was thinking that Form I-693 (medical)

was what my wife did in her country. Seems like that is something that must be done here before the interview.
Is that correct? I can t believe I totally missed this if so.

(she has done bloodwork and things for a physical here already)

I am pretty sure we have everything else that is required.

Please help me understand this. So we can get it done ASAP if needed. Thanks!

@Greenbaum

Hello. I just want to ask how important it is to have my college transcript of records authenticated through apostille (red ribbon) by DFA. I understand that I have to have it evaluated to see the equivalence of my bachelor s degree. But do they really look for one authenticated by the DFA?

Thank you, as always. God bless you.
