This thread was created for those who are waiting for their NOA2 K-1 case assignment from NVC and then tracking your case on wards to your Embassy. Contained in the PDF below are many tips, tricks and hacks to help you along the way.

These are items that everyone asks for, so I thought I just post a PDF of them here for you to refer to when it's necessary.

Hi guys!!

the time to naturalize is getting closer. I have a few questions for the form...

1. The part where it asks if I ever failed to file a tax return- i didnt work 2015 so i didnt file.
do i check YES or NO?

2. I dont have EXACT employment dates (didnt get my GC thru employer). Calling the company has been useless. Would estimate be good enough or is this a potential problem??

pls help me guys

thanks so much!

I just discovered that it takes 6 weeks minimum to get a certified marriage license in my state. This means I will not be able to file my AOS before the 90 day K1 timeline expires. What are the consequences?

Petition for parents: Typo on mom's birth certificate

Hello,

I am in the process of petitioning my mom. Her documents are all set for her interview (coming up , fingers crossed) but I would like to double check on two things:

1. NBI with AKA -- what does this really mean? She only used one name all her life. Is it different that the Multi-Purpose NBI, or does the letters AKA should be on it?

2. I noticed that her middle name on her birth certificate is misspelled. Instead of "Banana', which she's been using in every document, it was spelled as "Vanana". Would this be an issue to delay her visa?

I appreciate your response, thank you!
