As part of the packet of docs to send my fianc , I have heard that a divorce certificate is not sufficient to prove that any previous marriage(s) have been finalized with a divorce decree. And that I need to send her (certified or non-certified) copies of the decree which does include a judge's signature granting the divorce. So the question is, will a certificate suffice? If not, does the divorce decree have to be a certified copy?
