Hi all, I hope this is not a big deal, yesterday my wife was able to get a copy of our marriage certificate from the NSO. They have my middle name listed as my second first name and my middle name line blank since in the US we don't use our mothers maiden name as a middle name. My last name is correct, hoping this is not a big deal because they did the same thing on our daughters birth certificate from the NSO. We can hire a lawyer to get it fixed if needed they said it normally takes 2 to 3 months to fix but in Filipino time that is 6 months to a year. My name at the bottom is correct in print where it has my signature next to the printed name. Thank you for any help. B

Before the corona virus news broke out, me and my husband were planning to go to the Philippines in May for my brother's wedding. I have been saving up for it because after leaving for the US last year, I am excited to see everyone and reconnect with them after I got married. The news about the virus is getting worse everyday and I don't know anyway around it. Grr... I am still in denial about cancelling plans. For now, we are going to wait until April and see how things are going by then. Thanks for letting me vent

Good day everyone. I would like to ask all those who have gone through the interview phase about the document requirements. Did you have all your documents (Birth Certificate, Cenomar, NBI, Annullment papers, etc.) certified by the DFA (Red Ribbon)? Or do you just give all the original docs to the Consulate Officer without the Red Ribbon from DFA? Thanks in advance.
