Lose Permanent Residency Due to Lock Down?

My father-in-law, a Philippine citizen, is a U.S Permanent Resident. He has been visiting in his home town in Samar since April 3 2019. He has a plane reservation to fly back to the U.S. from Manila on March 21. With the lockdown, we are worried he will not be allowed into Manila to make his flight. But, if he doesn't return by April 3, he will be out of the U.S. for a year, and from what I understand, he will not be allowed back by U.S immigration due to being out of the country over 1 year. Does anyone know if they will make an exception in this case, and allow him back into the U.S. after the lockdown is over?

Have you a visa interview during Manila travel shutdown? Other means of travel to MNL? Speculations

This is all speculation, but let's try to envision the short-term future...

I suspect that the interview process will be completely disrupted and the Manila Embassy will postpone interviews during this time. Big bummer for us with our March 26 interview. I hope I'm wrong. I hope they remain open and keep interviewing those who are able to attend their interviews despite the travel restrictions. If the Embassy remains open, has anyone any ideas for alternate means of travel to Manila? Or is it too arduous? Fly to Baguio and taxi to Manila?

I suspect that the embassy will not want to expose its consulates to close quarter interviews with beneficiaries who may unknowingly harbor the virus or who may try to attend an interview despite oncoming symptoms. It's a real tragedy for all parties involved. Perhaps they will postpone interviews until plexi-glass separators are installed at the embassy interview rooms?

I still think the best course of action is simple: Stay at home if you feel sick, don't attend crowded functions, wash hands, etc. Travel bans only cause panic and hardship.

Good day guys!

My husband went to SLEC recently but was asked to come back after a month for a psych eval. During his medical, he divulged to the MD that he used illegal drugs such as marijuana when he was in college and that was years ago and he only did it once. He was pressured by his friend at the time but he NEVER tried again.

What are the implications of this towards our interview process? Will he have higher chance of denial or what? If so, what is our next step to reverse the situation? What does psych eval entails?

I really hope he will pass the psych eval and proceed to the interview. Because if not, I dont know what to do. With corona virus spreading, the chance of getting him to US is narrower. All countries are restricting their travels around the word and I dont know when will they add the Philippines to that list.

Please help me guys. Share if you have encountered something like this.

My fiances medical and interview were scheduled for next week. Now it looks like at least another month minimum.

I understand the medical is walk in only but I will have to notify the US Embassy to reschedule the interview.

Now to cancel hotel and flight.... A bummer for sure.

Civil Surgeons near Temperance MI or Toledo OH - HELP

Just trying my luck just in case anyone knows a civil surgeon that transcribes DS3025 to I693. I had my overseas medical last year of May 2019. I talked to @Hank_ before and he advised me to have the DS3025 translated to I693 before May 2020. I used the Find Doctors feature of the USCIS Website but so far had no luck finding civil surgeons that has no b**** of an assistant or secretary or ones that wants to charge over $200 just for the transcription.

I already completed my biometrics so hoping that its just a matter of time for the interview schedule. I m currently almost 28 weeks pregnant and would wanna do this appointment very soon as I m running out of time before my overseas medical expires and also before I get bigger. Lol

I would really appreciate any info or advise regarding this. Thank you.
