For those who had or have the same status as me, I hope you can share your experience. My 10-year GC will expire this Jan 2021. I'm on the process of working on my N-400 application. I read that processing will take a year to some states. Will this affect my status? Will I get penalized for not processing the N-400 earlier before it expires? OR is renewing the GC will be more favorable considering the time left of only 9 months before the GC expires? Thanks!

Will Loss or Reduction of Income Due to Illness Affect ROC I-751? |

Hi folks My wife and I are getting around to piecing together her ROC I-751 packet. For much of 2018, I was very ill and hospitalized for an extended period of time. In all, I missed eight months of work before returning to the office. As a result, my income for 2019 was remarkably low compared to the years previous. Will this dramatic drop in my most recent tax year affect the outcome of Dyn's ROC I-751? Additionally, I am looking for clarity on how many tax years I should include transcripts with the I-751. Thank you to all who respond and share with us Greg and Dyn

For immigrants, I guess particularly those who immigrated through marriage, who pays for your immigration fees? Is it you (the immigrant) yourself, your US Citizen spouse, or do you split the cost? Just curious. My husband has helped me pay for mine, but has also argued that I should probably shoulder the full cost since it's my immigration, not his (we both work full-time, though he earns a bit more than me). Just want to note that he's not an(removed) or anything he's actually a great husband, and will help me pay for stuff if we discuss it, but that's just his rationale and I'm wondering how many other couples have the same argument lol.

Ok, I have a friend that filed for I-130 for her spouse. He is here in the US from Ireland, he has been here on a student visa for a while, they have the NOA for the I-130. Does he need to file AOS now or what should they do now? I m assuming they are legal and everything is good?...
