US Immigration from Philippines

Hello po!

I paid the visa fee today, i thought after that we can make a future appointment interview but we need to wait until the Embassy status went "ready". The lockdown will be over in May 15 in Manila where i need also to attend my Med Exam in St. Luke's, but can we make an advance appointment or just NO until the lockdown is over? Because the Phi Embassy site it said we can make an appointment but the agency who work our papers told us to wait. Im just curious.

p.s the US Embassy in manila has no updates in their site thats why i asked here soo if someone here knows something pls give me info. Thank you.

I submitted my N-400 today just to figure out that I have mistakenly put my last name as first name and my first name as last name on the form on Part 2 Item No. 1 - Current Legal Name. However, my application has an attached birth certificate and copy of my green card which states the correct order of my name. I already submitted an e-request for a typographical error to be able to correct it right away. Will that cause a problem? Can I ammend it on my interview day if in case they were not able to correct it?

Hello from a former lurker. I decided to post my recent success in hope that it may provide encouragement to someone as many of you posts have for me. Yesterday I checked my IR2 case status for my stepson as do normal once of week just out of habit. Low and behold the case was approved on 01 May 2020 despite only being submitted online on 29 Feb 2020. Then on 02 May 2020 I received and email from NVC advising of case creation already. This seemed extraordinarily fast as it took my wife case 1 year to get to this stage. She just got to the NVC stage on 13 Nov 2019 after more than a year at USCIS. I was delaying her case as I made a mistake and thought my son would be included in her I30 which it wasn't. I we had decided to wait the year for this approval and rented a house for a year here but two months into our lease both are at NVC. I was able to pay the fees yesterday for my wife but my son log in indicated that the AOS was paid. Could this be because it has already been linked to my wife's application or because I am the same petitioner for two separate cases? Whatever the reason I must say we are extremely happy but shocked. If only we could cancel our lease now (lol). Thanks for always sharing and keeping our spirits up. Will keep you informed of our progress for here on out.

My wife and I will be applying for Removal of Conditions from her temporary green card soon. Unfortunately, I am losing my job and thus our healthcare. My wife works for the county nursing home and can get healthcare through there but it's too expensive to extend that to my son and me. My question is will immigration view my son and me getting healthcare through Medicaid or CHIP as being a public charge towards my wife's next green card? Does anyone have any thoughts about this?

My mom has been wanting to fly back home and because of covid19 we had to cancelled her flight in March. I see that there are flights available later this month, are they putting people in quarantine somewhere after flying from the US?
