Hi all! Im taking a long shot here but hoping somebody can help.

So we dont have a lot of legal documents with both are names

i.e :

  • Deed to property showing both names
  • Mortgage or loan documents showing both names
  • Lease agreement showing both names
  • Driver s licenses or IDs showing the same address
  • Bank statements showing both names
  • Utility bills showing both names (electricity, water, gas, trash, cable, internet, cell phone, etc.)
  • Correspondence from friends, family, or businesses showing both names
We only have my husbands updated life insurance, medical insurance with my name and an updated Emergency Data document from the DoD with my name on it too.
We are filing our AOS through rapid visa and they are asking for:
  • Explanation letter signed by the Petitioner why there is limited proof of bona fide evidence of marriage. It must be notarized.
  • In addition, we will need both of your signed comprehensive letters that include a statement/narration about your relationship (how you met, got engaged, details about your marriage, and future plans) signed and prepared individually to support the bona fide marriage evidence. Just a signed statement from both and doesn't need to be notarized.

Anyone has a sample for this two I can maybe get an idea of what to write? would be a big help! TIA!

K1 & K2 Long Wait

Does anyone know if the US embassy in Manila waits to create a tracking number and send the K-1 to LBC for delivery until the K-2s that are attached to her K-1 are issued? My fiance had her interview on October 15. That's over a month ago. The CEAC website says her visa is in "issued" status. Her oldest son is in "approved" status, and her younger son is in "ready" status. The two are 6 and 4, respectively, so I don't know why they are being held up. The attorney I used to help me get everything filed tells me that they will deliver the K-1 separately than the K-2s. and the K-2s may be delivered at different times too. Of course, there's no answers if you call the US embassy domestic line, or use the email form on usvisascheduling.com. All you get back is a copy and paste reply about how to check your status. It's because I checked my status that I have the question. My attorney doesn't have answers, I can't get answers from the embassy. I even called LBC to see if they could find her tracking number based on her name. The embassy doesn't give name information to LBC so they couldn't look it up by her name.

It would really help our anxiety level if we knew if the embassy releases all the visas at the same time, or if it's done individually. And if it's done individually, why the "issued" status date is 10/22 and we're still waiting for a tracking number.

Any enlightenment would be helpful.

ECrba Status. What does this mean?

Hello everyone,

I applied CRBA via their online portal last May 2024 and got our appointment last June 2024 at US Consulate in Cebu. I was asked for more information last July 2024. I sent them around September 2024. Since then, the status of my application has been, Pending Adjudication.

Just today, November 2024, it says, Shipped to Embassy/Consulate. Does it mean it was approved?

I m confused because i didn t ask them to mail the certificate to a Consulate or Embassy but instead to my home address in US.

Is there anyone here who has the same experienced? I browsed here and the internet and I couldn t find any similar situation.

Thanks.

Hello everyone, I am planning to petition my mom in the Philippines once i become a US citizen, however, she don t want to use her husband s last name but rather her maiden name. They separated long time ago(more than decades) and her husband died last month. In national ID, she is using her maiden name but the civil status is widowed. Should we change it to single status? Or just remain in widowed status? Any idea how and what are the processes I need to do before the petition? Thank you in advance.
