Greeting! My moms case is based in Manila US embassy, I would like to know how long do I get an update on the case after submission of the 221g due to pending medical from St. Lukes, for sure there are several cases like this since there are tons of people who are subjected for sputum test. My mom proceeded with the interview (Feb 11, 2025) even without the results of the test. Everything was good but since the result was not in she got a 221g due to pending medical. March 19 2025 we got an email from St. Lukes that the results were good and got forwarded to the US embassy. So my mom submitted the submission form together with her passport to the VAC (March 21 2025). Visa status check last update was March 25,2025. Any similar case and estimated time you got an answer will help. Thank you!

In the online petition for I-130 it talks about having a joint bank account, property, or investments together to show proof of a bona fide marriage, but what i don't understand is that for after they come to the USA. Bcs my bank doesn't allow a bank account without a permanent residence card issued by Homeland Security? Bcs it says that just the marriage certificate alone isn't enough proof of a bona-fide marriage or relationship, so that's why I added about 20 photos of my wife and I together with our kids and some of her family from different times that I've visited her since we got married last March 2024. I would think that the fact that we have a daughter together would also be evidence of a bona-fide relationship and marriage in addition to the marriage certificate. Pls advise me of anything else I can possibly add. We have a lot together in the province but it's not paid off yet til next year. So I didn't include that yet because we don't have the title yet as we're still making payments.

Hi! Sorry if this topic's in the wrong forum. I have a different concern regarding my last post about the medical exam, and I'd like to know if someone can confirm. My Medical was on March 31st, we did the eye test, weight test, height test, basically everything located on the 5th floor of SLEC, and also a blood test. Now, we got told to go to room N and that was when we got notified that we needed to schedule a Psych eval bc of self harm scars. Now the earliest date we could have scheduled (and did schedule) is on April 21st, 2025, and I'm assuming it'll also be the same day I'll be doing the rest of my medical exam. The problem is, my US embassy interview is on the 14th. My concern is, will the Embassy still take me in for an interview? Will worst case scenario be they'll just delay the results of my medical exam, or worse- will they refuse me and tell me to reschedule? I'm a little worried as I keep reading different scenarios concerning this problem here on VJ huhuhu. Thanks for the help in advance.

THIS IS ABOUT A PROBATIONARY 13A, NOT A PERMANENT 13A VISA. I obtained a Philippines probationary (1 year) 13A visa last year to facilitate my stay in the Philippines with my spousal until her US visa process was completed. It has been many months, but we are finally approved and now are looking to cross our i's and dot our t's before leaving the Philippines for the US. I do not intend to continue with my probationary 13A -> permanent 13A. The probationary 13A expires in 2/3 months by which time I will already been in the States. Does anyone know what happens at that point? Do I have to do something before going to the airport or is the ECC-A exit clearance enough? If I have to go somewhere before the airport, do I have to convert it to a 9A? Does anyone have any success stories or info?

Hi! US Citizen here. This is my first time filing taxes as married jointly, but my wife is still in the Philippines; she has yet to immigrate over. Is it true that filing jointly would be a major green flag for CR1 couples when USCIS reviews our case? Would their be any "down sides" to filing jointly even when my wife is a nonresident alien? For example, would it take longer for the IRS to view our taxes if filing jointly? Would my monthly monetary gifts to her be counted as her income? Would I need to wait for my wife to file her taxes in the Philippines before I file mine? Any tips when filing jointly with a nonresident alien? Thanks in advance.
