Hi all, Wanting to hit two birds with one stone! I need to travel to Washington state to apply for my dual citizenship as I am from NC. Would anyone have insight on the ff: 1) Do you know if one can successfully apply for dual citizenship and simultaneously submit requirements for Report of Birth (ROB) while at the embassy ? Or do these need separate appointments? 2) Can I just use ONE original copy of my Report of Marriage (ROM) to report the births of my two children? Or do I need to have ONE original and separate ROM copy for each ROB? Trying to streamline the processes involved as much as I can. Any advice would be great! Thank you all! Best, Karla

Hello, everyone. My parents had their interview yesterday at Abu Dhabi and they got sent home with their passports. They have all the required documents even their old passports, they answered all the questions but towards the end of the interview the consul asked if they have applied for visa before and they said no. The consul said my parents have visa applications from 2003-2004 showing up on the system. However, they have never submitted any applications and my petition is the very first time! They were sent home with their passports and was told that the embassy needs further clarification and to wait for an email for instructions. Their visa status now says refused on CEAC. Has anyone experienced this or heard about this kind of experience?

Hi there folks. Am helping my sister-in-law and recently her Husband died at the end of August, unexpectedly of course. She applied for her 10-year green card earlier this year and the government website says the status of her case is that biometrics were received in April. Sort of remember reading on here that the AOS has to be refiled if the American citizen sponsor spouse deceased after the AOS was filed? We did a change of address already, form AR-11. Is she going to have a problem receiving her new green card because she changed her address? Sort of remember that being a problem too. We tried to keep the same address as long as we could but we wanted to get it changed for fear of possible deportation. Originally, they said she should receive her 10-year green card before December. My sister-in-law has money in the bank and has a place to stay with us. She is gainfully employed and is a hard worker. Think that she would be able to stay here in the U.S. but am not sure if we need to refile anything. Thanks to all those that help so much on this website. My wife is currently a 10-year green card holder, and we couldn't have done all our filings without the great help on Visa Journey. Thank You.
