Hi everyone I'm new here.

So fast forward to our K1 visa case... we're now on the last part I believe.

Got my interview at MANILA US EMBASSY like 1 and a half week ago I had all the required documents (I made sure) but sadly the CENOMAR got me the form 221g as it was wrong and they needed the correct one. I took care of it right away, like just within 3 days, and hopefully we get some email from them soon.

Our questions tho is how long would it take for them to give us some feeback and does sending my passport means I am more likely to get a visa? They did keep my main required documents during my interview and was told that I don't need to go back to us embassy.

My interview was quick and easy tho. The consular didn't even looked at my supporting documents such the the financial support and proof of relationship, she skipped it and im not sure why.

I keep checking the status on my CEAC and ustraveldocs websites and it says 'Ready' (CEAC) & 'Document delivery information' ?(ustraveldocs). Can someone enlighten us what does these info means? And how long more is the waiting timeline?

Thank you in advance and may everyone have a great time. Haply 4th of July too

I read an article the other day that consular officers are rejecting a lot more visas because they have discretionary power when it comes to determining if someone will be a public charge if admitted to the US. My wife's IR1 visa interview is just waiting to be scheduled (CEAC says "ready") but I'm wondering if it would help if I gave her recent paystubs to bring to the interview? I'm making significantly more money than when we were in the NVC stage six months ago. We filed with a joint sponsor just in case. I just don't want to go through all of this and have the visa denied because the consular officer thought she may become a public charge.

Hello,

My IR5 filing is on NVC stage. I just got an RFE. NVC is requiring for my w2/1099 for 2022. I don t have any of those since I did not work for the whole year.

i have my husband and sister-in-law to sponsor and i have submitted both tax transcript and w2s for them. All accepted.

what should i submit? Do i download and submit wage and income transcript from IRS showing $0? Would that even be the right document for their request?

HELP!!!!

Co-sponsor questions

So I got an email late last night from NVC saying I had insufficient income even though I provided proof that my annual income is just shy of 40,000 a year. I work for the local county in a government job. With either net or gross I make in excess of the requirements for a household of 2. The only thing I can think of that hurt my affidavit of support was that during part of Covid I was unemployed after undergoing a major surgery and needing recovery time, which also didn t matter since very few places were hiring during Covid.
Anyways, I now need a co-sponsor and the only one I can ask is either my mom or dad. I don t think I can use my mom because she s medically retired and only received about 29000 on her retirement last year. She does own a house but I don t know how assets are counted and what is enough to qualify. My dad (they re divorced btw, sorry I didn t mention sooner), recently retired so I don t know what his annual is yet with his social security and pension but while he was working his annual was about 80k a year.

please , any advice would be helpful or any info about cosponsors and how their income and assets are used. Are they counted along with my own income? Also which parent would be the better choice? Mom is remarried and husband has no income, and dad is single but doesn t own a house.
