Hello everyone! I have been interviewed last july19,2023 and the consulate told me that my visa was approved and wait 1 to 2 weeks for my visa stamping but it turned into different situation now, they called me in the same day after my interview 4 hrs. later and said I have documents to provide which is all about petitioner's tax return and they will send my passport through mail including the instructions, Im not so sure though , it confused me because they told me that my visa approved after my interview,. I have all my documents on hand and why they never ask me about it during my interview, i have checking my case status and it was "Refused". These all happened in US Embassy Manila. any advise and hopefully all will be alright.

Just a CEAC (Short) Rant

Well, attempt number 5. Today's attempt comes to you during a two-hour gap between sessions on a 13-hour day. Still trying to enter all addresses my 32-year-old wife has lived at since she was 16, along with all phone numbers and every social media account. CEAC crashes when I attempt to save or move to the next page. Every. Single. Time. I now have...24 minutes until my next session starts, and I'll be in session until 8:30, and then up at 5 tomorrow and back at it.

I see why VJ-ers have amazing things to say about CEAC and the ease with which they work their way through it.

I'm not usually an impatient or angry person, but my blood is nearly boiling at the moment.

**Rant over**

Thanks for listening.

Hello, If being required to move residence prior to receiving GC, will the USPS forward GC's to new address? Or does USCIS put a "Do Not Forward" message on GC mailing?

Thanks for any responses!

Hello,

We got DQ'd early this month and our case is still with the NVC. After serious thought and consideration and due to personal reasons, we are thinking of possibly not pursuing the IR-1 visa at this time.

Questions:
1. Is there an option to postpone the process at this point? If so, how do we go about doing this?
2. If postponing is not an option, do we reach out to NVC or wait until we receive an interview letter from the embassy to cancel? I understand it may take a while before the case gets forwarded.

3. If we do cancel, could it affect my spouse's ability to enter the US on a tourist visa (currently has a B1/B2 visa valid until 2032) for a visit down the road?
4. If at some point in the future our plans change and we want to re-apply for the IR-1 visa, would the cancellation in any way affect the new application?

Thank you in advance for your inputs.

Manila Embassy K3 Interview Question(s)

Hi all,

My wife and I are preparing the last few pushes for her visa, and we're getting documents in order for her embassy interview. She says she is required to bring an original copy of my divorce decree from my previous marriage. In Wisconsin, we don't get original copies. The original copy stays with the clerk of courts, and we get a copy, which is what my wife has in her possession.

My understanding from reading through the forums is that with the exception of the original AoS documents I submit through CEAC, only the beneficiary's original civil documents are required...? But I could be mistaken.

Any VJ members who were previously married and their current spouse had their interview at the Manila embassy? What original documents pertaining to you was your wife required to present?

Thank you,

Jason and May
