US Immigration from Philippines

Hello!

My wife's CR-1 visa case has been DQ since mid February of 2023.

I went ahead and filed for a expedite for her interview at the US Embassy in Manila a few weeks ago, and it was approved by the Embassy!

According to the CEAC it now says our case it at Manila, and when using the Visa Status Check on CEAC it says that our case is ready as of June 20th.

I am now not sure where to go next, scrolling through this forum and other online resources, it seems there are some that say to go ahead and schedule the medical with St Lukes, and I can schedule the interview myself, while others say that I should still sit and wait for the embassy to reach out with the interview date.

I have been using this forum since we started this process, and hopefully with your guidance be able to finish this process soon.

My wife and I went down to the local Walgreens to get some passport photos for the I-485. We were half paying attention but by the time is was done we realized the picture was kinda bad. The employee didn't do a good job on it. Too much shadows on the face and somewhat poor lighting in the background. My wife later suggested we use the passport photo copies she still has left over. Those are the ones she used for the DS-160 and interview right before she came over to the US. Photos are under six months old. I was wondering if using them is a bad idea.

My fiance is a 2023 filer here. It's been two or so months of filing our I-129F, and the first estimated NOA2 date I got was around July 16 2024. Now it's moving to May 31 2024. Has anyone else been seeing the same improvement?

What do you all think? Are processing times actually improving now?

I applied for a tourist visa in order to get my fiance here for a wedding. However because of the long wait, I wasn't able to get the interview scheduled for the wedding in time (2 days off). I then applied for an emergency visa, not knowing that you're not allowed to use those for weddings. I then got 2 emails, one saying i was approved and another saying I was denied. After checking back in the website, I was able to adjust the dates to an earlier time to about 1 week before the wedding. And looking back on the site it says it's an emergency.

I'm not sure if this would hurt her chances of getting the Visa now since it's not an emergency. Should I contact someone about it?

Also If it is approved, would we still need to wait weeks after the interview to get the visa since it has an emergency status?
