Hello All, My K1 petition was approved and received NOA2 on December 05, 2023. Using the CEAC Tracker, it shows that our case was created on December 22, last update was January 8, 2024 which shows "Ready" status. It also says "Please follow the appointment schedule provided to you by NVC. If you do not have a schedule from NVC, please wait for scheduling instructions or a notification from the US Embassy Manila." I've yet to receive my Welcome Letter. I did research for some cases which had the same situation, and they ended up paying for the visa fees and scheduling their interview appointment without receiving their Welcome Letter. Should I do the same or do I wait for the letter?

Hello all, Im in the process of petitioning my parents I am now in the NVC stage of collecting civil docs and AOS we stumbled upon a problem of getting one of my parents NBI clearance clearing the record will take up to a year or two my question is will it be possible to proceed with processing one of my parent and put the other on hold? What will happen to one of the petition if it comes up to a year of limitation from the NVC? Will it be possible to request extension? And will they process my other parents petition in a timely manner and will not wait for the other to proceed? Thank you all.

My wife will apply for citizenship this year, and I'm wondering if I should wait to adopt my stepchild until the citizenship process is complete, or go ahead and adopt her now. I'm in California. My wife and stepdaughter have their green cards and we have been married and living in the USA for over 4 years. They have had their provisional green cards for 3 years this June (expired, but have letter stating they are awaiting removal of provisions). I'm wondering if adopting her now will create confusion, and maybe better to wait for citizenship through her mother is complete. Any thoughts?

Our case has been documentarily qualified at the NVC since May of last year, but we still have not been contacted for an interview date. It was my understanding that the embassy in Manila didn't have much of a backlog for processing spousal visa cases. Any idea what's going on here? Is there a way to request an expedite, or to at least request more info on the status of our case? Thanks

So I turned in my AOS package a few months ago. My local uscis office has ask me for additional evidence to process my form i-485. I understand all the required evidence including pictures of wedding and other events. My question is, is it acceptable to turn in photo albums in black in white? I am choosing to mail my evidence to them instead of downloading to my uscis account. I just dont have a color printer at home and it is more expensive than black and white.
