Need some advice and information folks. Good friend of my wife and myself needs some help. She was married and living in Florida with her husband on a K-1 visa and got her Permanent Resident Green Card. That s were things turned for the worse. Even though they both worked at what appeared to be good paying jobs that afforded them extensive travel across the United States. Her and her husband fell on some difficult financial times, and lost the home in Florida. Together they decide to move back to Cebu Philippines and continue working Online. The Husband ended up passing away from complications of Covid / diabetes in Cebu. Unfortunately, some time after that through neglect, and lack of financial resources she allows her Permanent Resident Green Card to expire as well. Is there anyway she can file to restore her Permanent Resident Status as the widow of an American Citizen.

My fianc was just issued her EAD card. She already completed biometrics and from what I can see the case is just going through the standard review process. Okay, now the reason for this post. To find out if anyone else has received the combo approval very quickly and what the process that followed looked like. I suppose to cut right to the meat of things, I'm curious if getting the EAD is any type of early case approval indicator, or it's it not at all relevant? A key data point(which I do not have but would love to see) would be if there are a lot of EAD cards issued to people who also end up getting RFE's or otherwise run into obstacles before or after the interview that could lead to a case being denied. If anyone has info on this or a link to a threat where this has already been discussed, please reply with more info. I would greatly appreciate the help if anyone is out there able to weigh in on this. And if this has been asked, please let this just be a mirror. I tried to find more about this but it seems like most cases being discussed that have issues were not issued EAD cards, but instead got hung up in an RFE.

We received a letter from the passport agency. One of their requirements is the following: If your parents were never married to each other, examples of such evidence might include: A custody decree; The death certificate of your non-U.S. citizen parent; or A statement from a competent authority (such as a court or state agency) certifying that your state or country of birth presumes that you are in the legal custody of your U.S. citizen parent. A letter from an attorney citing the statute is also acceptable if accompanied by a photocopy of the statute. My stepchild is from the Philippines. The mother was never married to the father. In the PH, unmarried mothers automatically get sole custody of their child so there is no document so to speak. "Illegitimate children are automatically under the sole custody and parental authority of the mother." What evidence could we provide that meets what they are asking for?

(Sorry if content is in wrong category.) I (the beneficiary) already submitted my intent to marry letter on the I-129F petition, and my new signature there contains my first names, last names, and middle initial. It s a new signature I recently took to using. At the same time, I got my first NBI clearance outside of K1 purposes. It had my old signature, only having my first name and last name. I will have to renew that NBI clearance soon Fast forward to now, the petition has been approved (yay), and now I will actually need to submit a NBI clearance, a renewed more recent one at that, for the K1 process. I m committing to using my new signature as much as possible. But my scenario might be this: the NBI forces me to use my old signature for my renewed clearance for the K1. If that happens, won t I be in trouble since my NBI clearance has a different signature from my intent to marry letter along with the rest of my documents moving forward? Thanks :).

Hi all! Hope everyone is doing okay. So, on the application we have submitted, we mentioned that I (alien fianc ) will be doing my interview here in Bahrain. Now I will be moving apartment, still in Bahrain. I have a couple of questions regarding that. 1. Is there any kind of forms we should submit for changing my address? 2. Will this affect our waiting times? If we have to resubmit some forms. 3. Am I ever receiving anything from the mail, or everything will be through my fianc and he is just the one who will be updating me. Thank you in advance for anyone who could help. I have called US embassy here in Bahrain, but unfortunately they dont have the answers.
