Hi all, I'm just trying to get some clarification regarding this matter. My wife got her CFO Guidance and Counseling Certificate way back in 2018 without a VISA (I can't remember exactly why we did it). Anyways there is no expiration on the certificate. Just a few days ago my wife was approved her IR-1 VISA and we are both wondering how to handle her CFO. 1). Is her current paper CFO Certificate considered valid still? I saw something about digital certification now. 2). Is it correct that she still needs a CFO sticker for her VISA? 3). Are there any other requirements that I'm forgetting? Thank you so much!

If this thread is in the incorrect forum, please feel free to move. My wife's green card will expire soon. We're filling out Form I-90 to renew. Besides her passport, a copy of her current green card, birth certificate, proof of residence, etc... what supporting evidence do we need?

Starting a new thread to document this minor but expensive annoyance. I understand that there can be delays in getting back my naturalization certificate, but I applied in January 2025. It's now May and I still haven't received it. My timeline: - Jan. 27, 2025: applied at USPS for a passport book and card. The employee took my original certificate of naturalization. Paid for expedited processing
- Jan. 30, 2025: Dept of State confirms receiving my passport application
- Feb. 6, 2025: received my passport book in the mail
- Feb. 12, 2025: received my passport card
- Mar. 31 / Apr. 14 / May 1, 2025: called the National Passport Information Center to follow up my naturalization certificate. Finally, on May 1, they confirmed they couldn't find it and sent me instructions to get reimbursed.
Now I have to file USCIS Form N-565 to get a replacement certificate, pay $555 and file another set of documents for DOS to reimburse me.

My fiancee lives in General Santos City, her id was stolen, we are waiting for a replacement, she dropped a name so its taking longer than expected ,, she cant pickup her passport because she needs the id, birth cert is not adequate, ans its been 3 months since waiting for id, should be ready this month, my question is the first thing they want is the ds 160, which she cant fill out because she needs the valid id, should i call them and let them know that shes waiting for her id ?or do they just extend our case automatically ? the other issue is she tested positive for a latent T/B infection and is on treatment for 6 mos, which ends in August, so if she not done with her 6 mo treatment should she just go thru with setting up the interview or should she delay it until her treatment is done ,thanks .The tb question i asked earlier this year, and now since we received the notice from the embassy recently i thought i would add it to mt e mail to see what the opinions are/ thanks .
