Hello, can you help me please we got an issue when we went to social security center because my wife got her ssn before our marriage and after that we went back to change her last name on her social security on 01/02/2024 for her social security card but we didnt receive the card. Ive called the social security and they said that to wait 14 business days, we waited but nothing on our mail so we decided to go back to the facility but they said you cannot get another card anymore because my wife i94 and passport is expired, should we wait until she gets her greencard and then apply again to change her last name to mine and get her social security card? (Btw ive already submitted my aos weeks before her 90 day expired)

Did some searching on the forum but was unable to find a clear answer. I was scheduled for the interview and the notice mentioned, as an applicant applying on the basis of my marriage to a U.S. citizen, that I needed to bring "your spouse's birth or naturalization certificate or certificate of citizenship": My spouse naturalized as minor, through his mother's naturalization. He has never obtained a certificate of citizenship, though his mother has one. He does have a valid U.S. passport, and has had one since he became a citizen. My question is: is that passport sufficient enough to fulfill their requirements, or do we really have to obtain a naturalization certificate for him? Obtaining the certificate could take up to a year, and my interview is next month. Thanks all. Appreciate all and any responses.

I became a citizen on November 4, 2022. I filed my sons I130's on Septmeber 2022. I've called, sent emails, and written letters about updating my citizenship. Now, after waiting and thinking they've updated my citizenship, they're telling me they sent my petitions to Texas. Can someone please tell me the best way to handle updating my citizenship? Thank you!

I'm filling out the app. It says not to show a name change unless we have court records of the change. She wants to use my last name. Is there a court to go to that she can change her? Are the wedding records in her province good enough for the US paperwork. What name should she use for her passport.

Hey all. We passed our interview and are preparing for the CFO next, but we see on the website they need Glys original Birth certificate and her original copy of her CENOMAR, but the embassy took those documents at the interview and all we have now are the copies. Do they send these originals back with her passport and visa? Has anyone been okay with just copies?
