N-400 - Can I use PSA Report of Marriage for marriage certificate? |

I m not eligible to apply yet but just want to be prepared when the time comes. I will be applying for N-400 under the 3 year rule next year. I know one of the main requirements is marriage certificate. However, in Wisconsin, it is a felony to copy/scan vital records. I checked with Vital Records office and they confirmed this. And I have always sent certified copies to USCIS. I tried looking it up on VJ and there were only two posts about this that I ve seen. I was hoping to file online. So I have a few questions: 1. For those who are familiar with the process in the Philippines, I have a copy of our PSA issued report of marriage - it shows that we got married in Wisconsin. Can I upload this instead of our marriage certificate? Then maybe just attach the email I received from DHS vital records and a letter that I can send them a certified copy if needed? 2. Since my husband was born in Wisconsin, can I just provide a copy of his passport instead? It is a valid passport that he got over 3 years ago, he never lost citizenship. 3. Or should I just file it by mail? I can then provide certified copies of both marriage certificate and birth certificate. As always, thank you for your help!

Concerns About K1 Visa Timeline and Income Requirement for Filipina-American Couple |

Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well. I am seeking advice and insights from those who have experience or knowledge about the K1 visa process. I am currently in a relationship with my American partner for four years, and he proposed to me in May 2022. We are thrilled about getting married and starting our lives together in the United States. However, we have not yet applied for the K1 visa, mainly due to our concerns about the timeline and income requirement. As I am from the Philippines, I have heard that the visa processing can be lengthy, which worries us as we eagerly await the opportunity to be together permanently. Additionally, my partner is a freshly graduate engineer with about a year and a half of full-time work experience. While his income meets the requirement, we wonder if there is a specific duration of full-time work that must be met for approval. Moreover, there is an added layer of apprehension due to my previous record of denial for a tourist visa in 2019. Although this is for a different visa category, I cannot help but worry if it might affect my chances for the K1 visa. We want to ensure that our application is strong and free from any potential hindrances, and any advice or guidance from those who have gone through similar experiences would be highly appreciated. Thank you all so much for your time and support.

My wife had medical done one day and they said come back the next for results. She and according to a guy with the group complained that out of 400 people 320 tested positive for TB. 80 people were cleared. Now she has to wait until September 4,5,6 to get sputum tests and then wait until November for results!! The 2021 TB infection rate is .065 per 100,000. So that s a little over one per 50,000!! You do the math. What can you do?!!

Hi all, We finally were able to submit May's DS-260 tonight. Because she was in jail in Jordan due to an overstay in 2018, we checked yes to the question on the 260 regarding whether you've "ever been arrested for any offense or crime" or convicted even if later pardoned, etc. We now see in the civil document requirements that court and prison records are missing. I'm assuming they must be uploaded before her NVC file will be reviewed, and I'm assuming this was triggered by us checking yes to that question...? However, there are no court or prison documents, and she has her certificate of no criminal conviction from Jordan, which she will upload under the police certificate tab (PCCs are indicated by the DoS as unavailable, so we're going with the CNCC). So, I'm unsure whether this civil document category is going to be problematic and her NVC file will just sit indefinitely because we have no records to upload for prison or criminal offenses...? Any feedback on this?

Hello everyone! I have been interviewed last july19,2023 and the consulate told me that my visa was approved and wait 1 to 2 weeks for my visa stamping but it turned into different situation now, they called me in the same day after my interview 4 hrs. later and said I have documents to provide which is all about petitioner's tax return and they will send my passport through mail including the instructions, Im not so sure though , it confused me because they told me that my visa approved after my interview,. I have all my documents on hand and why they never ask me about it during my interview, i have checking my case status and it was "Refused". These all happened in US Embassy Manila. any advise and hopefully all will be alright.
